Welcome to Sequoyah Children's Place, my bilingual child care and preschool program in Alexandria, VA. My home is located in the Sequoyah neighborhood, close to Mt Vernon Woods Elementary School. I’m only a minute away from Buckman Rd and have easy access to Richmond Hwy (US route 1), so your daily commute to work will be very convenient.

I’m a professional child care provider and early childhood educator with 6 years of experience and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology. I’m also a mom myself, so I have first-hand training with my own kids. I studied Psychology and this helps me understand each child’s behavior and how to approach them properly. Working with kids is fun and rewarding because you get a chance to see them learn and grow, and you also learn from them.

Sequoyah Children's Place is a bilingual Spanish daycare, a wonderful opportunity for your little one to learn a foreign language early on! I use the Montessori Curriculum to benefit your child’s learning and offer various child care options depending on your needs, such as full-time and part-time infant care (for babies as young as 3 months old). I also enroll toddlers and preschoolers up to 5 years old. For families only looking for occasional child care, we can provide drop-in care. Before and after school care are both available for school-age students up to 7 years old (my home is close to Mt Vernon Woods Elementary School). If you prefer, we can arrange transportation for your child (not included in the tuition, so please inquire to ask about transportation costs). My child care facility is intimate (limited to 4 children) and all inclusive as I can work with children with special needs, including Autism and Down Syndrome. We are open all year-round from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday. I provide peanut and tree-nut free lunch and snacks to all kids in my care (already included in the tuition).
