Welcome to Manchester Lakes Playhouse, my intimate and cozy home-based daycare in Alexandria, VA. I’m located in the Manchester Lakes neighborhood, less than five minutes away from Kingstowne Village Pkwy. My home is very accessible for all commuters since I have easy access to Telegraph Rd (route 611), S Van Dorn St (route 613), I-95, and I-495. Perfect for your daily commute to work!
I’m the owner and main caregiver of this safe and intimate family child care program. I’m a professional provider with CPR & First-aid certifications, and I have been running my daycare for 3 years now. As a mom of 2 myself, I know you want nothing but the best for your child. Here at my daycare, you can be sure that your little precious one will receive plenty of individual attention as I only take a maximum of 5 children.
Manchester Lakes Playhouse is open all year-round Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, but I’m willing to adjust if you need an earlier drop off or later pick up. I offer a Play-based early learning program, full-time and part-time care for newborn babies, as well as toddlers and preschoolers (as well as school age children up to 12 years old.)

Thankful for this caregiver! She is accessible, hospitable, and very warm and sweet. We appreciate the healthy solids meals she provides as it relieves us parents of the responsibility of prepping lunch and snacks for our son. She has been kind and accommodating during our son's transition from being home with us 24/7 to starting daycare in the midst of his separation anxiety phase. Our son is happy to go now!

We are so happy to have found this care provider for our toddler. The care provider is friendly and caring. The home is also clean as well as the daycare area. The daycare area is bright, fun, and neat. Our toddler is fed nutritious meals and seems to enjoy yourself there with the others. I toured many daycare’s before I decided on this one. The area is very clean and tidy. The caregiver is flexible and authentic but most importantly, I feel that she has a genuine love for my son. She feeds him foods of her choosing and that was a huge reason I picked her as well, I don’t have to pack a lunch and he is able to explore his ethnic palette. No complaints. I’m very happy with this daycare.

One of the first things I noticed on my tour of this daycare was how pristine it was, and continued to be each day. The owner has been wonderful with taking care of our daughter and providing her with various activities that aligned with her developmental milestones.

The facility is nice and clean. Lots of space and toys for the kids. I can’t really comment on curriculum as he’s only 13 months but he does get lots of activities in. The provider treats him like her own. She also sends pictures which is nice.

This caregiver provided morning child care service for my son. I needed a temporary child care provider at the last minute and she was able to accommodate my family on such short notice. She ensured my son was safely on the school bus in the mornings and was even kind enough to send pictures of my son getting on the bus to let me know he was safe.
