Barcroft Children's Den, Arlington is an intimate home daycare in Arlington, VA. My child care facility is located in the Barcroft apartment complex, right off Columbia Pike (route 244) and S George Mason Dr. Your daily commute to work will be fast since my home is between Arlington Blvd (US-50) and the I-95. I’m also a few minutes’ drive away from S Glebe Rd (route-120) and Leesburg Pike (route 7).

About Me
Like you, I’m a parent myself, so I know your concerns when it comes to finding safe, yet affordable child care. I’m a professional caregiver with 14 years of experience and CPR & First-aid certifications. I always treat each child under my care as if they were my own. Also, I decided to only take a maximum of 3 children so I can give them plenty of individualized attention.
Curriculum
Barcroft Children's Den follows the play-based learning approach, allowing children to learn through play and educational activities. During circle, I teach them the alphabet, shapes, and colors, and we play puzzles. My curriculum also consists of learning about feelings and emotions, and I ask them how they feel every morning.
If weather permits, I take them out to my spacious backyard or to the nearby community park that has a playground and field where we spend our outdoor playtime.
Program
I can accommodate full-time and part-time care for infants and toddlers between the age of 3 months and 3 years old. My family child care is open all throughout the year from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
I run a peanut and tree-nut free environment to prevent possible allergies. My daycare consists of a living room area where kids play, and I also have a dining room with highchairs for their lunch and snacks.
Safety
In order to safeguard the health of children, I maintain cleanliness by regularly sanitizing tables and chairs throughout the day. Additionally, I take precautions to prevent infants from sharing toys as they often put them in their mouths.

The owner has been a wonderful caretaker for our 6 month old son. She is a sweet and caring caregiver. We are lucky to have found her to take care of our precious child. I would highly recommend this childcare provider! My wife and I looked at number of daycares in the area before our son was born, felt great about choosing this provider, and have never regretted it. She has watched our son from 12 weeks old to current (6 months old) and has helped him (and us) learn so much! This provider really treats our son as if he is one her own children and even helps guide us as new parents.

We could not be happier with this provider and her daycare. As other reviews have said, she is wonderful for first time parents, due to her caring nature and the smaller number of children she takes at one time. Our little boy absolutely loves his time there. This provider is an astoundingly good teacher and caregiver. She truly cares for other kids as if they were her own. Our kid was with her from 3 mo. - 22 mo. This provider was a wonderful caregiver to our daughter for over 2 years. This provider is as pure as gold and cares deeply about her kids' development and happiness. I only gave slight marks off because her facility is out of her apartment, so there are less opportunities for the kids to go outside.
