A World of Children, Cedar Road

We are dedicated to providing a home-like environment, where we pride ourselves on being an extension of your family. Here, parents feel confident that their child is safe and loved as we build a home away from home. We believe that a child is never too young to start learning and the adventure begins here! At A World of Children your child will enter a whole new learning environment. Whether your child begins in our two year old room or arrives for after-school activities, we will make sure that they are well prepared to advance to the next classroom. We understand a child’s attention span can be short so both our Chesapeake and Virginia Beach locations have classrooms that are split up into different areas for children to play and learn. We encourage our students to visit the various areas on a daily basis. This allows them to explore the centers as they choose. Our learning areas are our Science/Sensory Center, Math and Manipulative Center, Home-Living Center, Language Arts Center, and Creativity Center. In addition to centers, there are structured group activities conducted by the teacher in which your child will also participate. These activities include circle-time, outdoor play, lesson time, snack, lunch and of course nap-time. By incorporating the various activities listed above in your child’s day, your child will grow emotionally, socially, and physically. We strive to teach your child about the world around them in a fun and educational way. You are welcome at any time to see for yourself just how much care and attention is given to each child. We are pleased to announce that we are now accepting children from the ages of 2 to 12 years old at both our Chesapeake and Virginia Beach locations.
