Since 2007, Second Home has served hundreds of chidren in the HCPS area. Housed in the Muhlenberg Activities Center of Muhlenberg Lutheran Church in Harrisonburg, Second Home offers academically focused before and after school care for students from Spotswood, Waterman, and Smithland Elementary Schools. As a licensed day care center, Second Home can accommodate up to 100 children enrolled in grades K - 5. Our mission is to ensure that the children of low-income families have access to safe, quality child care and academic assistance.
