Hunter Village Little Children's Place, Springfield

Hunter Village Little Children's Place is an intimate daycare and preschool program in the Hunter Village neighborhood of Springfield, VA. Our home-based daycare is right off Hunter Village Dr, near West Springfield Elementary School and Hunter Village Park. Our facility is conveniently located for commuters since it's easily accessible from the Franconia-Springfield Pkwy, Rolling Rd, and Old Keene Mill Rd. Our program operates Monday to Friday, from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm, catering to children aged 4 months to 5 years. We offer full-time and part-time child care to fit your family's needs, and a tailored preschool program to help children prepare for kindergarten. Our home is not just a child care facility; it's a cozy, nurturing environment that your children will love to be part of!

As the owner and primary caregiver of our daycare, I bring a wealth of knowledge and love for children. My journey began as a mother, which taught me the importance of creating a nurturing, secure environment for children to grow (I have 4 children of my own, who are now older children). My 17-year professional experience includes 5 years as a 1st-grade teacher and many years working as a behavior therapist, where I supported children with special needs and autism. With a Master's Degree in Social Work, and extensive experience as a teacher and behavior therapist, I am committed to providing a wonderful space that meets the needs of every child, from infants to preschoolers.

As a provider with 17 years of experience and a passion for early education, I've designed our program to be play-based, recognizing that children learn best through play. Our daily activities, including Drawing, Puzzles and Reading, are tailored to stimulate your child at every stage of their development. With a small backyard playground for daily outdoor play and a nearby larger community playground, your child will have plenty of opportunities to enjoy fresh air and physical activity. I also understand the importance of nutrition in your child's development, which is why we offer lunch and snacks to children in our care (already included in the tuition)!
