Stonegate Children's Place, Windsor Mill

Hello, parents! I'm thrilled to welcome you to Stonegate Children's Place, my licensed in-home daycare and preschool in Windsor Mill, MD. My goal is to create a nurturing “home away from home” where your children can grow, play, and learn. Stonegate Children's Place is in the Stonegate At Patapsco community, we’re right off Johnnycake Rd and Oldstone Rd. We’re conveniently located for easy drop-offs and pickups since we’re near the I-70 and I-695 interchange, and just a short drive from Baltimore National Pike.

I am a professional early childhood educator with a bachelor's degree in psychology and CPR & First Aid Certifications. I am a mother of 2 with 18 years of hands-on experience in child care, including working in a licensed child care center, as a babysitter, and most recently as a private nanny. I love working with children because they fill my life with joy, laughter, and make me feel relaxed. I always look forward to playing and engaging with my students, they make me feel young! I treat children in my care as part of my family, and parents often tell me they appreciate my warm, open personality as well as the strong, family-like relationships we build together.

At Stonegate Children's Place, we welcome infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-agers from 6 weeks to 12 years. I’m open from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday, and I offer flexible care options including full-time care, part-time care, as well as before & after school care (I'm near Chadwick Elementary School). My child care facility is a tree-nut free zone, and I include wholesome snacks to the little ones in my care (included in the tuition).

I believe that children learn best through play, and I have designed our curriculum to reflect this play-based teaching philosophy. Each day at Stonegate Children's Place is filled with activities that change depending on the mood and interests of the children in my care. That way, I ensure that they are always engaged and happy to learn. Our days are filled with outdoor play when the weather is nice, creative arts like painting, story time, as well as basic reading and writing exercises. My goal is to make learning fun and interactive, allowing each child to feel special and valued!
