Welcome to Collington Station Kids Playhouse, our home daycare and preschool in Bowie, MD! We are a mother and daughter team with 14 years of combined child care experience. We are mothers ourselves, so we genuinely understand your needs and concerns when it comes to finding quality child care.
My mother is the main caregiver and has 10 years of experience (she’s also a mother of 6!) She also holds a Master’s Degree in Early Education. I am also a mother myself and I hold an MBA and Doctorate in Pharmacy. Both of us are also CPR and First-aid certified, so you can rest assured that your little one is safe with us!
Our goal is to create a safe and nurturing environment and prepare each child to succeed in kindergarten. Our family child care and preschool program uses a play-based teaching philosophy. We believe that young children have the right to play while they are learning. This curriculum also helps every little individual develop social, emotional and cognitive skills.
In addition to English, we will also provide introductory Spanish lessons. This is not a bilingual program (we’re native English speakers, not Spanish), but we do have learning materials in Spanish and will learn basics such as colors, number, days, etc.
Our hours of operations are between 7:30 am and 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday. We offer various options to accommodate working families. We can provide full-time daycare for toddlers up to 5 years old or until the child is ready to transition to Kindergarten, including children with special needs. We enroll new children only under 2 years of age who can grow with us until they are ready for kindergarten.
We can offer drop-in care for your occasional needs. We run a peanut-free daycare and snacks are served to all children in our care (included in the tuition).
Collington Station Kids Playhouse is located in Bowie MD, in the Collington Station neighborhood. Our child care facility is off Central Ave (route 214) and Church Rd, just a few minutes away from Crain Hwy (route 301) and Watkins Park Dr (route 193).
