About Us:
Welcome to Collington Station Kids Playhouse, our home daycare and preschool in Bowie, MD! We are a mother and daughter team with 14 years of combined child care experience. We are mothers ourselves, so we genuinely understand your needs and concerns when it comes to finding quality child care.
My mother is the main caregiver and has 10 years of experience (she’s also a mother of 6!) She also holds a Master’s Degree in Early Education. I am also a mother myself and I hold an MBA and Doctorate in Pharmacy. Both of us are also CPR and First-aid certified, so you can rest assured that your little one is safe with us!
Curriculum:
Our goal is to create a safe and nurturing environment and prepare each child to succeed in kindergarten. Our family child care and preschool program uses a play-based teaching philosophy. We believe that young children have the right to play while they are learning. This curriculum also helps every little individual develop social, emotional and cognitive skills.
In addition to English, we will also provide introductory Spanish lessons. This is not a bilingual program (we’re native English speakers, not Spanish), but we do have learning materials in Spanish and will learn basics such as colors, number, days, etc.
Program:
Our hours of operations are between 7:30 am and 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday. We offer various options to accommodate working families. We can provide full-time daycare for toddlers up to 5 years old or until the child is ready to transition to Kindergarten, including children with special needs. We enroll new children only under 2 years of age who can grow with us until they are ready for kindergarten.
We can offer drop-in care for your occasional needs. We run a peanut-free daycare and snacks are served to all children in our care (included in the tuition).
Location:
Collington Station Kids Playhouse is located in Bowie MD, in the Collington Station neighborhood. Our child care facility is off Central Ave (route 214) and Church Rd, just a few minutes away from Crain Hwy (route 301) and Watkins Park Dr (route 193).

They are very great people I have took my grand daughter to them when she was three she loves it. They teach her in pre-k she was able to read at a fifth grade level no lie. I will recommend them to everyone they are just so sweet.

This program is the best of the best! They’re new to the Bowie, Maryland area, but they’re certainly not new to the childcare business. My granddaughter was visiting for a week while her parents traveled and I needed short-term care for her during my work hours and they were able to accommodate us on very short notice. They were in full compliance with the state’s childcare laws and procedures which made enrollment easy and efficient. Honestly, I was really just looking for a “babysitter,” since my granddaughter is only 13 months old. But to my surprise, Collington Station Kids Playhouse was so much more than that - it’s a full-on learning center that promotes child development and encourages creativity through music, reading, computers and play. The center is located in the lower area of a beautiful home, and because it’s very intimate, it allowed my granddaughter to relax and easily adapt to her new environment. It also made us feel secure dropping her off each day... it actually felt like we were just leaving her with family. The primary caregiver is completely hands-on and extremely patient. Her love for children is apparent as soon as you meet her and she’s a huge advocate for cognitive development. Each day, my granddaughter was sent home with a daily report that outlined her entire day; including meal times, diaper changes, naps and outside play. They are extremely thorough and took their responsibility serious when it came to my little one. Their time and attention to excellent care was greatly appreciated. Especially nowadays, when there's so many people in this business for the money, who will simply shove a bottle in your baby's mouth and call it a day. This facility will be our 1st choice for childcare whenever my granddaughter returns for another visit.
