At Madame Curie Preschool, we combine nurturing care with strong academic preparation. We offer age-specific classrooms for toddlers, preschoolers, Pre-K students, and Kindergarten, allowing each child to learn in an environment thoughtfully designed for their developmental stage.
Our goal is to help children become confident problem-solvers from an early age. Through guided learning and exploration, children learn to ask questions, think critically, and discover solutions in both academic and everyday situations. We aim to spark curiosity in science, build confidence in math skills, strengthen language development, and foster a lifelong joy of learning.
Our program includes phonics-based literacy instruction, helping children develop early reading skills through sound recognition, blending, and sight word practice. Students also build strong math foundations and critical thinking skills through hands-on learning and STEAM activities.
Our experienced teachers bring 5 to 10+ years of early childhood education experience and hold CPR, First Aid, and MAT certifications. With a focus on small-group learning and individualized attention, teachers create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment where each child receives the support they need to grow and succeed.
At Madame Curie Preschool, we believe early childhood is a time for curiosity, growth, and joyful discovery. Our philosophy focuses on creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where every child is treated with kindness, patience, and respect.
We recognize that every child learns and develops in their own unique way. Through thoughtful guidance and individualized attention, we support each child’s development while helping them build confidence, strong character, and early leadership skills.
We also believe learning is strongest when educators and families work together. By partnering closely with parents, we help children feel secure, supported, and excited to come to school each day. Our goal is to create a positive early learning experience where children feel valued, develop meaningful relationships, and build a strong foundation for future success.
Madame Curie Preschool follows a STEAM+ curriculum (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics supported by Language Arts, Motor Skills, and Social-Emotional Development). With dedicated classrooms for each stage of early education, an indoor gym, and a fenced outdoor play area, children grow through a carefully designed progression that develops character, confidence, and leadership skills.
Our early childhood program begins with the Toddler Classroom (18 months to 2 years), where children are gently introduced to structured learning in a warm and secure environment. The focus at this stage includes language development, social interaction, and classroom routines. Children participate in activities such as yoga, dance, and arts and crafts while developing emotional security and independence. Through daily activities and guided play, they also begin learning important values such as kindness, sharing, and respect.
As children progress through Preschool, Pre-Kindergarten, and Kindergarten, learning becomes more structured while maintaining a supportive classroom atmosphere. Children develop foundational academic skills including early reading, writing readiness, number sense, and problem-solving abilities. Through phonics-based literacy activities, small-group instruction, and engaging lessons, children gain confidence, responsibility, and independence while preparing for success in elementary school.
We invite families to schedule a tour to meet our teachers, explore our classrooms, and see how children grow with confidence from toddler through Kindergarten at Madame Curie Preschool in South Riding! 💕
