Hello, parents! I'm excited to introduce you to Timber Ridge Kids Playhouse, a warm and welcoming in-home daycare located in the Timber Ridge neighborhood of Clinton, MD. As a mother myself, I understand how important it is to find a child care facility where your little ones are safe, happy, and supported in their development. I strive to create a nurturing environment where infants, toddlers, and preschoolers can learn and grow through play and exploration!
I am the owner and caregiver and I have 20 years of experience working with children! I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Management and Information, but my passion has always been child care. I have a deep understanding of how to nurture each child’s unique needs. I’m certified in both CPR and First Aid, giving you peace of mind that your child is in safe hands every day.
I believe that a strong partnership between parents and caregivers is essential for a child's success. I make it a priority to keep parents informed about their child’s progress, daily activities, and any important milestones they reach. Regular updates and open communication help ensure that your child is getting the support they need to grow and thrive. In addition to English, I speak Amharic and Tigrinya, which allows me to connect with a diverse community of families.
Timber Ridge Kids Playhouse is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., offering both full-time and part-time care options for children from 6 weeks to 5 years old. In addition to child care services, we offer a preschool program that helps prepare your child for the next step in their education. We also provide healthy lunches and snacks each day, which are included in the cost of tuition, so you don’t have to worry about packing meals.
The safety and comfort of your child are always our top priorities. Our in-home daycare is designed with young children in mind, featuring age-appropriate toys, materials, and equipment that encourage safe, hands-on learning. We offer both indoor and outdoor play areas where children can explore and move freely, knowing they are in a secure environment.
We follow a play-based learning approach because we believe that children learn best when they are having fun and feel free to explore. Our curriculum is designed to foster creativity, curiosity, and critical thinking, allowing children to learn at their own pace in a safe and engaging environment. We focus on building essential skills like socialization, problem-solving, and early literacy, all through fun, hands-on activities.
Every day is a mix of guided activities and free play. We enjoy imaginative play, where kids can pretend and create their own worlds, as well as sensory activities that help develop fine motor skills and cognitive abilities. Outdoor play is also a big part of our routine, offering the chance to explore nature, run around, and develop physical coordination.
By providing a range of experiences, whether through building with blocks, painting, or playing with water tables, our goal is to help children develop essential life skills like socializing, problem-solving, and self-confidence.
