Oakland Mills Kids Playhouse is a licensed daycare and preschool in Columbia, MD. We’re conveniently located in the Oakland Mills neighborhood, near Kilimanjaro Rd and Oakland Mills Rd, a few minutes from Oakland Mills High School and Blandair Regional Park.
Our child care facility is open year-round, Monday to Friday, from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm. Our program includes full-time and part-time care for infants as young as 12 months, as well as toddlers and preschoolers. Before and after-school care is also available for school-aged kids up to 12 years old.
Hello parents, welcome to my cozy in-home daycare, and your child’s future home away from home in Columbia, MD. I am the owner and primary child care provider here at Oakland Mills Kids Playhouse. I have over 9 years of child care experience and a Bachelor’s Degree in Education.
As a parent, I understand the importance of knowing that you’re leaving your child in a loving and safe space; a place where they will be cared for, and taught activities that help with their developmental growth. My goal is to do just that!
I am genuinely grateful to be able to work with children, and over the years, I have learned so much from them. With my experience, enthusiasm, passion for child care, and my degree in education, I aim to provide a positive and engaging environment where children can learn through fun and interactive activities!
At Oakland Mills Kids Playhouse, I strive to provide early childhood education through fun, interactive, and play-based learning. When children enjoy their environment, they are more likely to want to learn and participate. Our activities will help foster your child’s cognitive, social, and emotional development and encourage a positive attitude toward learning!
Our day will start with circle time and then proceed to arts & crafts, writing, and free play. We’ll have music time, where the children can dance and express their creativity through motion. We’ll also take nature walks and do outdoor chalk drawings if the weather permits. It's a fantastic opportunity for exercise and exploring the outdoors!
Your child's health, safety, and well-being are my priority; as such, I am CPR and First Aid Certified. I also offer peanut-free and tree-nut-free snacks to all the children in my care (already included in the tuition)!
