While I hate to leave bad reviews, I believe it’s important for people to know the good and the bad for those whom we trust with our children, and/or where we spend our money.
As a first time mom, I was very apprehensive but confident about sending my son to Ms. Maria for child care. I value great communication when it comes to my son so prior to his first day of care, I requested to meet Ms. Maria but she declined and requested we just speak on his first day, July 8, 2024. My husband and I met with Ms. Maria and her daughter Sarah to go over care, expectations, etc., for my son.
Only days later, we were very displeased with Ms. Maria due to attempts to overcharge and/or decline to watch our son with little to no notice.
(FYSA : Her profile was just updated to reflect 9 hours after our experience) On July 18th, we received an SMS that states, “Madam, good afternoon, I just want to let you know that childcare is a maximum of 9 hours, overtime is paid as you saw in the contract, thank you." Upon receipt, I reviewed our signed contract and it was not on the contract provided by Ms. Maria.)
I requested to meet with Ms. Maria on July 19th to discuss this matter in detail and she declined, stating that she was sick and had an appointment that she had scheduled a month ago. This same date, my husband was in route to Ms. Maria to drop off our child! Now, not only am I unable to discuss the issue we’re having but, she is declining to watch our child with no previous notice of a medical appointment. This really put my family in a bind as I’m sure most would understand.
We are extremely disappointed and dissatisfied with Ms. Maria’s childcare services and her professionalism. Our hope is whether you choose to utilize her services or not, that you do not have the same experience that we did.
