Welcome to Woodley Cozy Corner! We are a licensed, home-based daycare and Spanish bilingual preschool located in the family-friendly Woodley subdivision, right in the heart of Falls Church, VA.
Our convenient location just off Westmoreland Rd offers easy access to Arlington Blvd (US-50) and the I-495 interchange. We’re less than a 5-minute drive from Westlawn Elementary School and Roundtree Park, making us a great choice for families looking for quality child care near Falls Church.
We offer a year-round Spanish bilingual childcare and preschool program for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Open Monday through Friday, from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm, our program provides both full-time and part-time care starting as early as 2 months old.
We also offer before and after-school care for children up to 12 years old, along with flexible drop-in care for occasional needs. All tuition includes freshly prepared, home-cooked nutritious meals in a tree-nut-free environment.
Hello Parents! I’m excited to welcome you to Woodley Cozy Corner, my home-based daycare. As the owner and primary caregiver, I bring over 7 years of hands-on experience in early childhood care, along with CPR and First Aid certifications to ensure your child’s safety and well-being every day.
I started this daycare because I love working with children and wanted a meaningful career that allows me to grow while being present for my own family. Child care is my passion: it gives me purpose, joy, and a chance to keep learning. I take great pride in my work and approach it with patience, dedication, and love.
One of the most rewarding parts of my day is seeing how comfortable and happy children are in my care; many don’t want to leave at pick-up time! That tells me I’m doing something right. My commitment is to create a nurturing, dependable space where children feel safe and families feel confident.
At Woodley Cozy Corner, my philosophy is to provide a thoughtful and nurturing environment where children can thrive emotionally, socially, and physically. I believe that child care is more than supervision: it’s about fostering confidence, emotional intelligence, and social development through mindful interactions and structured learning.
Through guided play and age-appropriate activities, children learn to recognize and express their emotions, build independence, and make thoughtful choices. I maintain close communication with families because I believe that care works best when it feels like a natural extension of home.
I also place special emphasis on nutrition. My food program not only provides high-quality, balanced meals, but also encourages children to make healthy choices and learn lifelong eating habits. Every child deserves a space that nurtures the mind, body, and heart, and that’s the environment I strive to create each day.
Each day is thoughtfully structured to balance learning, creativity, and emotional development, while also supporting bilingual growth in both Spanish and English. Our day begins with circle time, where we connect as a group, talk about the weather, share stories, and check in on everyone’s feelings. This fosters social skills, language development, and emotional awareness.
Next is story time. Whether reading individually or together, children expand their vocabulary, explore topics like weather or emotions, and build comprehension. We also have music and movement sessions in our small dance studio! Children sing, dance, and express themselves physically while having fun.
When weather permits, we go outside for free play to build gross motor skills and socialize. Then comes lunch, where we encourage healthy eating habits and independence. After a restful nap, children enjoy snack time and engage in practical life activities like cleaning up and organizing. Afternoons end with quiet reading or a short, carefully selected educational program to support learning in a mindful way.
