Welcome to Mill Pond Children's Den, our bilingual Spanish daycare and preschool in Frederick, MD!
Our licensed child care facility is located right off Mill Pond Rd, near the Clemson Corner shopping mall (with Lowe's, Wegmans) and the Walmart Supercenter. We’re also close to Liberty Rd (route 26) and Frederick Fwy (route 15), so your daily commute to work will be very convenient.
About Us:
I’m the owner and main caregiver of this intimate family child care and early education program. I’m a licensed provider with 25 years of experience, and I run my daycare with my assistant who has 5 years of experience. We both hold a Child Development Associate's Degree.
We’re moms, so we understand how difficult it is for you to leave your child in someone else’s care. Our goal is to make sure that each child feels welcome and safe when they are in our daycare.
Program:
We’re open all year-round from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday. We offer full-time care for newborn babies, as well as toddlers and preschoolers up to 12 years old. We can also accommodate children with special needs.
We provide lunch and snacks to all kids attending our program and these are already included in the tuition. To prevent possible allergies, we run a peanut and tree-nut free environment. If the weather is nice, we go outside to our private backyard playground where we spend our outdoor playtime.
Mill Pond Children's Den is a bilingual Spanish program so in addition to English, we also teach kids Spanish. This is a wonderful opportunity for your little one to become bilingual at a young age.

The provider is very caring, experienced, and good with the kids. She has been very accommodating with us too, letting us bring our son at varied times as we start, sending us pictures during the day, and following any instructions we share. She even asked for a recipe to make our son's favorite foods. My son is one of the youngest (14 months) and the other kids are very gentle and sweet with him. It seems like a great place for him to learn and play... and to learn Spanish! We're very happy so far and would definitely recommend her daycare.

This caregiver has cared for my son since he was 3 and he absolutely adores her! He has a great time and learns a lot while in her care. From painting to singing, he comes home with a new story of a new activity. She is super interactive! truly grateful for her and her day care.

This caregiver is just a sweetheart, she was very pleasant and patient with Taylor. Taylor has begun Kindergarten but still looks forward to going to visit her. I will never forget you!!!!

My youngest daughter who is just about 2.5 years old started at this daycare at 6 months old. She has blossomed into a bright happy toddler. The owner is gentle and cares for each child as if they were her own. My daughter now understands and speaks Spanish! Some of the activities they enjoy are singing, dancing, outdoor play, arts & crafts, and birthday celebrations. My daughter is always happy when she arrives and sometimes doesn’t want to leave when I pick her up. We don’t live close to the daycare but we don’t mind the drive because we know our daughter is in the best care at this daycare!

This caregiver is great with the children. She sets up daily activities and sends photos so we can see the progress on our children and what they’re learning. She is very flexible and makes child care easy for parents as well as enjoyable for the children. On top of that, she helps the children learn life skills like brushing your teeth and helping make meals. My daughter loves her, all the children do. I’ve met adults that had once been in her care and they are still fond of her and visit her to this day. It’s a great daycare because she takes a variety of ages. I had my daughter come in when she was about 18 months and she didn’t leave until she was 4 years old, which is great because it’s the same teacher and the same friends. Since being in her care, my daughter learned to use scissors, write her name, and how to make friends. I am thankful to her and the role she played in our lives. I would definitely recommend this daycare to anyone looking for an affordable, reliable, and safe place for their child.

I love taking my daughter here, she goes in so happy and leaves so upset because she never wants to leave! She is amazing with the kids and you can see how much the kids love her!
