We're located in the family-friendly Sharon Woods subdivision, just off Goshen Road, with convenient access to Midcounty Highway (MD 124), Centerway Road, and Montgomery Village Avenue. We're also just a few minutes from Whetstone Elementary School.

Program:

Centerway Children's Place is open year-round, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm. We understand that families have different schedules, so extended hours may be available upon request for an additional fee.

We offer full-time and part-time child care for infants as young as 3 months old, toddlers, and preschoolers up to age 5, along with flexible drop-in care for occasional needs. Children with diverse needs are always welcome, including those with ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and speech delays. Our goal is to make every child feel safe, supported, and included.

We accept eligible child care subsidies and vouchers to help Gaithersburg families access affordable, quality care. We also offer discounts for siblings, military families, and parents who are teachers or educators. Plus, daily meals are provided to all enrolled children at no extra cost!

About Me:

Hi, parents! I'm the owner and primary caregiver at Centerway Children's Place. For me, caring for children is much more than a job. It's an opportunity to make a positive difference during some of the most important years of their lives. With over 8 years of child care experience, I've had the joy of watching little ones learn new things, grow, and reach exciting milestones.

As a mother myself, I understand how much trust it takes to leave your child in someone else's care. I'm CPR and First Aid certified, and I work hard to provide the same love, patience, and attention that I would want for my own children. I truly value the relationships I've built with families and believe that working together gives every child the best chance to thrive. I can't wait to welcome you and your little one to our growing daycare family! ❤️

Mission:

Our mission is to create a warm, family-centered environment where children feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. We introduce children to English and Spanish, helping them develop early language skills and appreciate different cultures.

We know parents and caregivers play an important role in a child's development. That's why we value open communication and strong partnerships with families, working together to help children grow and giving parents peace of mind.

Daily Activities:

At Centerway Children's Place, we believe children learn best through play! Our play-based curriculum includes hands-on activities tailored to each child's age and developmental needs. For lesson planning, we use Healthy Beginnings from the Division of Early Childhood for children from birth through 36 months, and the Maryland Early Learning Standards for ages 3 to 8.

Mornings may include circle time with songs and stories, weather discussions, arts and crafts, sensory play, puzzles, building blocks, pretend play, and music and movement. Children explore colors, shapes, letters, and numbers while developing communication, creativity, problem-solving, coordination, social interaction, and self-help skills.

Outdoor play is part of our daily routine when the weather permits, giving children time to enjoy fresh air, stay active, and explore. For infants and toddlers, we provide gentle, age-appropriate activities such as tummy time, listening to music, looking at picture books, sensory play, and guided activities that support their individual growth and development.

School-age children also have time for homework, reading, fun activities, and free play before and after school. We believe every activity is a chance to discover something new, make friends, develop life skills, and create happy memories.

Thank you for learning about Centerway Children's Place! If you're looking for a Spanish-English bilingual daycare or preschool in Gaithersburg, MD, we'd love to meet your family. Contact us through CareLuLu to learn more or schedule a tour! 💕

Arthur has been enrolled at this family child care for a couple months now. I am so glad I found her. The child care is very organized and clean. The provider does a lot of educational activities for the kids which I really love. She is very reassuring. Arthur has learned a lot. She also does a lot of outside activities when the weather permits. Overall, I am really satisfied with the care of my son.
