Welcome to Chadswood Bilingual Playhouse, my bilingual Spanish daycare and preschool in Germantown, MD. I’m located in the Chadswood neighborhood, right off Scenery Dr and near Clear Spring Park. Your daily commute will be convenient since I’m only 2 minutes away from Germantown Rd and Frederick Rd (route 355).

As a licensed child care provider, I enjoy working with kids because they have a natural ability to find joy and humor in the simplest things. It’s also fulfilling to work with them as it allows you to have a direct meaningful impact on their lives. Moreover, you get a chance to witness them grow, progress, and acquire new skills.
I’m a professional caregiver and educator with a decade of child care and early childhood education experience. I have completed my CPR and First-aid training, so you can be sure that your child is safe with me at all times. I can also administer medication to all kids in my care since I’m MAT trained. In addition to these credentials, I also hold an Associate's Degree in Early Education.

Program Information:
Chadswood Bilingual Playhouse follows the Play-based learning approach and uses the Creative curriculum to benefit your child’s learning. My daycare is bilingual so in addition to English, I teach kids Spanish. This is a wonderful opportunity for your child to learn this beautiful language. My program is accredited by the National Association for Family Child Care (NAFCC), which is not common for home daycares as it requires higher standards of quality.
My family child care program is open throughout the year from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm. Mondays to Fridays. I can provide full-time care for newborn babies, infants, toddlers, and preschoolers up to 5 years old. I serve peanut-free lunch and snacks to all kids attending my program (included in the tuition).
For school-age kids up to 12 years old, I can offer before and after school care (my daycare is close to Capt. James E. Daly Elementary School). If the weather is nice, we play outside in my backyard private playground.

If you’re looking for a childcare provider you can trust and have peace of mind that your child is in the upmost care then I can assure you this is it. I’m a first time mom and my daughter was with this provider from 3 - 7 months old. my baby would still be with her if we didn’t have to move unexpectedly.
She is extremely diligent, observant and communicative about the children in her care. I extremely value the daily report sent home with me in detail about my baby’s meals, restroom, naps, moods and supplies. Even though my child is a baby she still actively engaged with her by strengthening her physically with plenty exercise. I think she is largely to owe why my baby is already crawling and standing at 7 months. I would come back in a heartbeat if the opportunity aligned again. Give her the opportunity to care for your child and she will supersede your expectations.

This is a wonderful day care! My son has attended the center for the past 3 years. He has received an enriched experience within a very loving environment. It's been a joy to watch him thrive!
Before choosing this facility, we visited several other daycare programs throughout the local area. Once I met with the director and had a tour of the facility, I knew it was the right place for my son. He loves going to "school" and loves the entire team. They provide a clean and safe environment, actually have a weekly curriculum they follow, and provide nutritious meals. The children take local field trips to the library, fire station, etc. They LEARN ALOT!
I also like the fact that art is included on a regular basis as it is just as important as learning in our home. Most importantly, the owner is an expert in connecting with each child - creating a special bond. She and her team takes the time to communicate with you, if you should know something before you pick up your child.
As an engaged parent, I have confidence that my son is safe, secure, and thriving during the day. Kudos to the entire team for providing such a great environment for children!

We love this daycare! My son has been with this provider since he was 11 weeks old (he's now 9 months). I was nervous about returning to work, but she made the transition so easy. She is warm, compassionate, creative, and dedicated to these kids. I feel welcome in her home each day, and my son absolutely adores her and her staff! She works hard to make my son a part of the daycare family, patiently teaching the older kids how to interact with him. I truly feel like he's part of a family there. Every time I pick him up, the kids are fully engaged in a new activity. The owner is also great about communication, which is a LIFESAVER for a new parent. I think the best way to summarize is this: when I drop off my son with her, I leave with a smile on my face because I know he will be loved, taught, cuddled, entertained, and delighted the whole day.

I absolutely loved this owner as my daughter's caregiver. Freya adored her and the other care givers. She looked forward to everyday and learned so much while she attended. The only reason we left was due to my husband being military and we had to pcs. I cried when I had to think about my daughter going anywhere else. I was so grateful for the love and care that they gave my daughter. She started at this daycare at 6 weeks old and we had to move a little before her second birthday. The owner became like family. We sure do miss her! I highly recommend her!!
