About

Infant (0 to 12 months) care is available. We currently use “Teaching Strategies Gold” and “Look At What I Can Do Preschool Curriculum”. We also use a healthy dose of common sense and believe strongly in my Tots learning self-regulation. We realize many parents want their children at the top of the curve. We equally understand parents want their children to learn the ABC’s and master number recognition. Academic skills are often the #1 priority for parents. For kindergarten we believe the following readiness skills should be the #1 priority: •Children having the ability to communicate clearly their needs/wants whether verbally or through sign language. •Children having the ability to separate from their family for hours at a time without being disruptive or having melt downs. •Children who can follow 1 to 2 step directions and abide by rules. •Children who can sit still and focus for 10 minute segments. •Children who are able to recite their full name. •Children who get along with their peers. (Ask yourself if your child cooperates with others. Does he/she hit, kick or bite?) •Children, who are self-reliant. (For example: children willing to try to button their pants, zip up their coat, go to the potty without help and wash their hands. •Children who can use crayons, paintbrushes, scissors and pencils. The Tot Wrangler believes a mixture of play based learning, art and academics can get the Tots ready for kindergarten. Our program takes nature walks and daily visits to local parks. Our favorite park is Evans Park. Tuition listed is for 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM enrollment Monday thru Thursday. Preschool only tuition quotes 8:00 AM - 12:30 PM for 2 days up to 4 day per week are available upon request. All children are arriving by 8:15 AM enjoy a nutritious breakfast. Beyond infant childcare and preschool services, we also offer evening and weekend care for date nights or special events.

Where do I begin in my review of the Tot Wrangler program? In my opinion, selecting a child care provider is one of the most important decisions that a parent has to make. I researched numerous facilities in Montgomery County and just never felt that they were 'the one.' Upon the recommendation of a friend, I was told about Tot Wrangler. When I had my first interview with Mrs. Palkin, I came armed with a long list of questions, and yes- concerns. I could immediately tell that she was both honest and professional. She never rushed me or made me feel that my questions were stupid which other providers I met with did. She made me feel extremely comfortable, and was able to point to current and previous experiences to support her responses. During the first few days that I dropped my son off at Tot Wrangler, he cried. However, it did not take long until he not only stopped crying, but he looked forward to attending Tot Wrangler. Without having to ask, she provided me with an update on what my son ate, how long he napped, bio breaks, etc. Around 13 months, my son began to experience an array of disturbing symptoms. Despite several doctor's visits, no one could pinpoint the cause. Mrs. Palkin was very instrumental in identifying correlations between his symptoms and diet which led to the discovery of a very serious allergy. I firmly believe another provider would not have been as aware of my son's situation. She has gone out of her way to accomodate his allergy, as well of those of other children in her care. There has not been one day where I have dropped off my son where she has greeted us with nothing less than a smile. Her love and passion for the development of children is profound. She epitomizes patience, professionalism, and dedication to her craft. I love that the other family's are also happy and that their children have grown up and developed with my son. Families that have left as a result of military orders have all left in tears. How would they be able to replace the immense amount of care they received at Tot Wrangler? It's not possible. The curriculum that Tot Wrangler offers is a wonderful blend of exploration, creativity, stimulation, imagination, and yes- fun! I would highly recommend Tot Wrangler!

Tot Wrangler is a great facility. My daughter was not adjusting to another care facility. I met Eve and was instantly put at ease and moved her to Tot Wrangler. On the first day I saw an instant positive change in my daughter as there was the right mix of patience, love, structure and learning activities. She also learns something new every time she attends. All of the kids are very well behaved and it is obvious that they truly love their teachers and being at Tot Wrangler as their home away from home.

I cannot say enough positive things about this center. Ms. Eve is one of a kind. The last day my child was there, he cried for over an hour because he was going to miss her so much. It's like a favorite aunt taking care of your child and spoiling them. That's about the kind of comparison I can make. She loves her kids and they love her and it shows. We are a military family and move around a lot, so finding quality care for our kids is a top priority. I couldn't have chosen a better center/person to care for my child. My child has come out of that center with good manners, self-discipline for a child his age, and the knowledge needed to make it to the next level of his education. I would recommend this center in a heartbeat! And not only that, but you end up becoming like a family, and that is something that you don't see with many providers, that relationship. I could go on and on, but there isn't enough space to type it all out.
