This is the first place I took my child after staying home with him for the first six months. He started in the infant room with Ms. Annie, she is amazing. He is now in their Two's class with Ms. Melody and Ms. DeeDee, who are absolutely amazing. He is thriving everyday, and he is excited about school everyday. I have a hard time taking him home! The teachers amd staff are loving and kind. I also LOVE that they teach my son about Jesus. This is a wonderful school to send your child. It's a place to feel confident and safe when going to work that your child will be cared for and loved while your away. Love Bright Minds Christian Dayschool!

It pains me to write this review, as our children truly love the day school and staff. After 3 month of my son being bitten by other students, my wife left work early to pick up our children. My son is 18 months old, and has been bitten 3 time in the past 14 days. Over the past 3 months he has been bitten a dozen times, only half of them being documented by the school. We asked the school to add a staff member to his class, switch him into a different class, or remove 1 of the 2 biters. We ask the school to suspend the biters as a last resort. All of these were denied, and I was told that my son is fine, there is no harm being done to him. I was in directly told that I am over reacting, and that there is nothing wrong with children learning how to cope and play with each other. My son has had bruises, teeth marks, and welts from the biting, and the school refuses to do anything about it.
Response from the provider:
We’re saddened to see this negative review as we have worked very hard with Jared’s family to come up with positive solutions. Biting is always a sensitive subject for all parties involved; the family of the biter and the family of the bitten. While we always appreciate creative collaboration to find solutions, some of the demands, and treatment, we received from this family, that were not listed in the review above, were not appropriate, such as flicking the babies in the mouth or expelling them, swearing at staff, and refusing to pay for care received. Our Infant/Toddler biting policy is put in place to care for and respect both sides, while maintaining safety. All incidents are properly documented by teachers, communicated to the parents of both infants, signed and filed in the office. A plan of action is then created and implemented by the classroom teachers. We do not believe it is in the best interest to move children up or down in age groups, or remove young children from the school, based on developmentally appropriate behaviors. We want all children to feel included and loved in our program, even those with challenging behavior. Our teachers work daily with the infants/toddlers to build verbal and social skills which helps decrease biting. They also use American Sign Language in the classrooms as a tool for babies who are still non-verbal. We understand no parent wants to get a report saying that their child was bit and strive to work with families when it does occur. Although we are sad to see any family go we wish them the best in the future.
