Hello parents, Little Summit center has been removing my reviews on Google and has blocked me on their facebook page after sharing my reviews of my experience, which raises additional concerns of how they cover up violations rather than hold theirselves accountable to fix them. My son was bitten FOUR times at this daycare. Only 1 out of 4 times were they able to explain what happened, and even then, the story didn’t add up. I had to ask for an incident report, and the teacher who wrote it was inconsistent and vague and wasn't present during the incident. The staff gave different versions, shifting the blame onto a nonverbal 1-year-old, saying he was “probably self-soothing”—even though the bite marks didn’t match his teeth. Then out of nowhere, they said maybe my son was biting himself, something that had never been mentioned before—not even by the teacher who was supposedly watching him the entire day. Right after I filed a licensing complaint, suddenly they claimed my son had bitten two other children on separate occasions—incidents I was never notified about. That’s either a blatant violation of parent communication or a made-up story to retaliate and shift blame. Either way, it’s shady and unprofessional. When I asked what their biting protocol is, the director Celaine Camerino just said, “zero tolerance,” but to this day hasn’t provided said protocol. I also asked if there would be a group redirection after my son came home with bite marks multiple times. Celaine said yes—but when I asked to be present for that discussion, she froze and said, “We’ll schedule a time for you to come observe him next week.” That’s not what I asked. I wasn’t trying to observe my son—I wanted to see how they redirect the class, which clearly isn’t happening. That whole interaction was a red flag and a violation of the open-door policy. The meeting they scheduled with me was at drop-off, and they didn’t even ask if that worked for me. When I arrived, no one said good morning—not even to my son. Celaine started talking about serious matters in front of children, and I had to be the one to say, “We can talk outside.” During the conversation, she asked if I was the one who filed the licensing report and said, “Why is he here if you don’t trust us?” She said, “Whatever you’d like.” referring to whenever i'd like to remove him from the center. It was clear they just wanted us gone and were retaliating against us for the licensing complaint. My younger siblings and nephew used to attend this preschool before it was taken over by a new company. It hasn’t been the same. The director and teachers gossip, treat families based on who they like, and make emotional, unprofessional decisions. The way we were treated was disgusting. Instead of guilt-tripping parents and blaming a nonverbal baby, maybe train your staff to get off their phones and supervise the children like they’re supposed to.
