Welcome to Winding Orchard Kids Playhouse! Our licensed home-based daycare and preschool program is located in the Winding Orchard neighborhood of Silver Spring, MD. We provide a warm, family-like setting for parents looking for trusted child care in Silver Spring.
Our daycare is conveniently located near Glenallan Elementary School, just off Randolph Rd and Georgia Ave (MD 97). We are also close to John F. Kennedy High School, Glenmont Shopping Center, and Glenmont Metro Station, making our location an ideal option for many families in and around Silver Spring and the Glenmont area.
Winding Orchard Kids Playhouse is open year-round, Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm. We offer flexible full-time and part-time child care for infants starting as young as 4 weeks old, as well as toddlers and preschoolers. We also provide before and after-school care for school-age children up to 12 years old. Our program is designed to support children through each stage of early growth, from the infant months through the toddler and preschool years, and into the school-age years.
Nutritious, well-balanced snacks are provided daily and are included in tuition. We also offer a lunch option for an additional fee, and you can contact us through CareLuLu to learn more. To help keep children with allergies safe, Winding Orchard Kids Playhouse maintains a peanut-free and tree-nut-free environment.
Hello parents! 👋 I am the proud owner and primary caregiver of Winding Orchard Kids Playhouse. I have over 12 years of hands-on child care experience, and I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration. This background allows me to provide a strong early learning foundation within a well-organized, professional, and nurturing child care environment.
I have also earned a Level 3 rating in the Maryland EXCELS program, which reflects my commitment to maintaining high standards in early childhood care and continuous program improvement. As a mother of three, I understand how important it is for parents to find a daycare where their child feels safe, loved, and supported each day.
In addition to English, I am fluent in Tigrinya and Amharic, and I would be happy to introduce your child to the basics of these languages upon request. I believe in helping children build confidence, communication skills, and cultural awareness through meaningful early learning experiences.
For your peace of mind, I am CPR, First Aid, and MAT-certified, and I am committed to maintaining a safe, caring, and dependable environment for every child in my care. At Winding Orchard Kids Playhouse, your little one will be cared for with patience, compassion, and dedication.
