Welcome to Paint Branch Cozy Corner, a licensed home-based daycare and preschool in Silver Spring, MD! Our child care program is located in the family-friendly Paint Branch Estates subdivision, right off E Randolph Rd for easy access.
We’re conveniently close to New Hampshire Ave (MD 650), Columbia Pike (US-29), and Maryland State Route 200, which makes drop-off and pick-up easier for busy families and commuters. We’re also just minutes from William Tyler Page Elementary School, Cannon Rd Elementary School, and Paint Branch Trail Playground.
Paint Branch Cozy Corner is open year-round, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm. We offer full-time and part-time child care for infants as young as 6 weeks old, as well as toddlers and preschoolers up to 5 years old. Healthy daily snacks are included in tuition and are prepared and served in a tree nut and peanut-free environment. Your child’s safety, comfort, and well-being are always our top priorities.
We work hard to create a safe, supportive, and understanding environment for all children, especially those who may benefit from behavioral support and individualized attention. While our goal is to be all-inclusive, at this time, our facility does not have an access ramp and may not be fully accessible for wheelchair users. We’re happy to discuss your child’s specific needs and talk through how we may be able to support your family.
Hello, parents! I’m the owner and primary caregiver of Paint Branch Cozy Corner. I have more than 13 years of hands-on child care experience, primarily as a nanny, and I’m also a mother of three. Those experiences have given me a strong understanding of young children’s routines, development, and day-to-day needs. I am also certified in CPR, First Aid, and MAT (Medication Administration Training).
Opening my own daycare has allowed me to continue doing what I love in a more intentional way by providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging space for young children. I also believe strong communication and trust with families are just as important as quality child care. In my experience, children thrive best when caregivers and parents work together.
Each day, I’m inspired by the joy and curiosity children bring as they learn about the world around them. I truly love watching them reach new milestones, including the small ones that matter so much in early childhood. It is an honor to be part of these important early years, and I value the lasting relationships and sense of community built with every family I serve. At Paint Branch Cozy Corner, your child will receive personalized care in a warm, family-centered setting. With the help of a trusted and dedicated assistant, we are able to give children the individualized attention they need while maintaining a consistent and nurturing presence throughout the day.
Our home daycare includes a separate nap room designed to give children a quiet, comfortable space to rest and recharge. The space includes an infant area with four cribs, as well as a toddler play area that also has sleeping cots. We also have a safe, well-equipped backyard that gives children plenty of room for active play and outdoor exploration.
We believe child care should offer more than supervision alone. That is why we provide thoughtful, compassionate care that supports each stage of early childhood development. Children also enjoy enriching activities and outings to local libraries, parks, and museums when weather permits. These experiences help encourage curiosity, discovery, and confidence while giving parents peace of mind that their children are being cared for in a loving and engaging environment.
At Paint Branch Cozy Corner, our days follow a play-based curriculum designed to support learning, creativity, and development in a fun and engaging way. Children enjoy creative art projects such as painting, coloring, and crafts, along with music and movement activities like singing, dancing, and rhythm games that help build coordination and self-expression.
Story time supports early language development and sparks imagination, while small group activities and interactive games help children practice sharing, cooperation, and other important social skills. Indoor and outdoor play give children opportunities to explore with toys, puzzles, backyard equipment, and even field hockey to encourage teamwork and physical activity.
When weather allows, we also take field trips to local libraries, parks, and museums to expand children’s experiences beyond the daycare setting. Every activity is planned to nurture curiosity, support growth, and help children feel confident, capable, and excited to learn. 💛
