Dear parents, welcome to Woodlawn Terrace Children’s Place, my licensed daycare and preschool in Silver Spring, MD. Located in the Woodlawn Terrace neighborhood of Colesville, my home-based child care facility offers a warm, nurturing environment for your little ones.
As the proud owner and a mother of two grown children, I embarked on this journey after my previous experience as an assistant at my sister's daycare in California. This experience deepened my love for child care, reminding me of the joys of motherhood and the fulfillment of helping children thrive.
As a mother with 28 years of experience in parenting and child care, my goal is to create a unique, loving environment for children. I offer part-time and full-time child care for infants, toddlers and preschoolers, in a peanut-free and tree nut-free environment (with snacks included in the tuition).
At Woodlawn Terrace Children’s Place, we welcome breastfeeding parents so that every family feels at home. Our location is ideal for parents commuting via New Hampshire Ave (route 650), Randolph Rd, or those with children at Cannon Road Elementary School since we're nearby.
We cater to children aged 6 months to 5 years, offering full-time and part-time care, along with a preschool program. Our facility has a beautiful backyard with a fun outdoor play area, where your children can explore, learn, and play. We believe in the importance of physical activity and outdoor time, so we make sure that children spend ample time in our lovely outdoor areas, weather permitting.
Our daily schedule is carefully structured, allotting time for a variety of activities that cater to the developmental needs of different age groups. From educational games and storytelling sessions to art projects and outdoor play, every day is a fun learning adventure.
