Georgian Colonies Playhouse is open year-round, Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., offering both full-time and part-time daycare for infants as young as 6 weeks, as well as toddlers and preschool-aged children. We also provide before and after-school care for school-age kids up to 12 years old. We take pride in offering an inclusive child care program. Our experienced team welcomes children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), speech delays, Down syndrome, and ADHD, offering patient, personalized support in a nurturing environment. Nutritious meals and snacks are included in tuition and prepared daily in our peanut-free and tree nut–free kitchen, ensuring a safe and healthy experience for all children.

Hi Parents! I’m the owner and lead caregiver at Georgian Colonies Playhouse. I have over 12 years of hands-on experience in early childhood education, and I hold a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential. I’m also certified in CPR, First Aid, and MAT. Becoming a parent deepened my love for working with children. I realized how meaningful it is to teach, nurture, and help little ones grow. That’s what inspired me to open this daycare. I wanted to create a space where children feel loved, safe, and supported every day. Here, I see myself not just as a caregiver, but as a trusted partner to parents: a “second parent” who provides guidance, attention, and genuine care. This isn’t just a job, it’s my purpose.

At Georgian Colonies Playhouse, our mission is to create a warm, respectful, and joyful learning environment where every child is encouraged to grow at their own pace. With years of experience and a deep understanding of childhood development, we’ve designed a program that supports each child’s unique journey. We maintain a clean, welcoming space and serve wholesome meals that promote lifelong healthy habits. Children engage in developmentally appropriate activities that promote language, motor, and social-emotional skills through meaningful play. We’re committed to building a strong foundation where your child can flourish academically and emotionally.

Our day begins with child-led activities, allowing little ones to explore freely while waiting for breakfast. After a healthy breakfast, we come together for morning circle time, where every child has a chance to share and connect. Arts and crafts follow, sparking creativity and imagination, then it’s time for a mid-morning snack. If the weather is nice, we head outside for walks and outdoor play, enjoying nature and fresh air. Lunchtime is followed by quiet reading time to build early literacy skills, then children rest in our dedicated nap room for a two-hour nap. In the afternoon, we offer hands-on activities that support physical and cognitive development. I also provide a private breastfeeding and nursing room for parents, offering comfort and flexibility. For interested families, I can introduce children to Amharic, my native language, adding a cultural enrichment experience.
