Welcome to Parker Farm Playhouse, a licensed in-home daycare and preschool located in the Parker Farm neighborhood of Silver Spring, MD. We're conveniently situated near the Intercounty Connector (MD-200), Layhill Road, and Bonifant Road, with quick access to Bel Pre Road and just 2 minutes from Argyle Middle School. Whether you’re commuting from nearby neighborhoods or heading to work, our location makes drop-offs and pick-ups easy and stress-free.

Parker Farm Playhouse is open year-round, Monday through Friday, from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm. We offer both full-time and part-time child care for infants as young as 6 weeks old, toddlers, and preschoolers up to 5 years of age. We also proudly provide specialized care for children with special needs, including those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and ADHD, offering a supportive and attentive environment tailored to each child’s needs. Healthy, nutritious snacks are included in tuition and are prepared in a peanut-free and tree nut–free environment to ensure every child’s safety and well-being. We are committed to providing exceptional care and early learning experiences for every child. As proud participants in the Maryland EXCELS program with a Level 1 rating, we actively demonstrate our dedication to continuous growth and excellence in early childhood education. We also accept Child Care Scholarship (CCS) vouchers, helping to make high-quality child care more affordable and accessible for families throughout Montgomery County.

Hello! I'm the owner and primary caregiver at Parker Farm Playhouse, where nurturing hearts and growing minds are at the center of all we do. With over nine years of hands-on experience in early childhood care, my decision to open this daycare came from a lifelong passion for working with children and helping them thrive. As a parent myself, I understand how important it is to find a place where your child feels safe, loved, and at home. That’s why I’ve created a warm, welcoming space where each child is truly valued and supported. I am CPR and First Aid certified, so you can rest assured that your child’s safety is always my top priority.

We thoughtfully introduce early reading and writing skills through fun, age-appropriate activities that feel more like play than practice. Much like I teach my own children, we incorporate movement, music, sing-alongs, dancing, and storytelling to help toddlers naturally engage with letters, sounds, and words. Every day is filled with joyful learning moments that support language, social, and cognitive development. If desired, I’m also happy to introduce your child to another language. In addition to English, I speak Amharic fluently, offering a multicultural touch to our daily routines.
