We had our son at Glenda’s for the last 15 months, and her lasting impression is not a good one. She is extremely unprofessional, unreliable and passive aggressive. She has many poorly written policies that she changed at least 5 times in the past year. She is very easily overwhelmed with 3-4 children and she complains constantly about how tired she is. She makes unprofessional comments about her other clients and their children. She insisted we have our son evaluated for speech therapy touting her ‘experience’. We had him evaluated and the therapist said her concerns were 100% unfounded. She closed multiple days in the last year on short notice so plan on having alternate daycare readily available, and you will pay for the days she is closed. She has made it very clear that her job is ‘not to wipe noses’ so if your child has ANY nasal discharge or allergies you will have to find alternate childcare. She over stepped her role by trying to dictate which parent stayed home with our son when she refused to watch him. She has inconsistent policies for each child for example one will be able to bring their blanket while another one cannot. My son came home with a popcorn kernel lodged in his nose from a bin she let the 2 year olds play with unsupervised, when I asked her about it her answer was to not allow my son to play with it but continued to let the other children play in it. When we asked her to communicate with us about our sons progress she decided to stop talking to us all together. When we found another daycare and gave her the two weeks notice required by her handbook she fired us the next day and kept our money quoting her handbook that “I can terminate our agreement at anytime for any reason”. She presents herself very well at the beginning but I wished we had saved ourselves a lot of aggravation and gone to a professional daycare much sooner.

If you want mediocre care this is your place. My kids where under her care for about 3 months. My kids truly enjoyed going there and learned a lot. However, you can tell Glenda is always worn out. She would have me keep them home for a cough and runny nose (allergies). More or less she just wanted extra days off for the 4th of July. She has unrealistic expectations for a 3 and 4 year old. She was upset that she would have to help my 4 year old wipe her nose when she missed some and that she would need to remind her to wash her hands after blowing her nose. She also stated my kids are "immature and needy for their age"

We are very happy with Lasting Impressions Preschool! Our son loves going to Glenda's and has really grown from her preschool lessons. We looked into several other daycares in the area, but found it was hard to find one that did preschool and took part timers. Glenda is very good with kids, she treats them as her own, and everyday Eli comes home with pages of preschool lessons he did with her, art work and at least 1-2 pages of Glenda writing about his day :)
