About me:
Before I become a child care provider I had different beliefs and ideas about children and what being a provider meant. As I worked with more children, and sought out more education and training, I developed a new appreciation for the role of provider. I have been providing professional home-based daycare for +5 years, and I love working with kids every day. Being a child care provider has taught me so many things that have helped me be an even better mother to my own two kids.
My Beliefs:
I believe each child is unique and special to the world. I help children by believing in them as capable individuals. I believe in a world where people learn to respect, accept, and embrace the differences between us, as the core of what makes life so fascinating. I believe that an early childhood teacher impacts the learning experience of the young children entrusted to his or her care, and the learning environment provided is crucial. I believe a high quality early childhood program, that provides a safe and nurturing environment as a foundation for exploration and learning, is critical for the child's future life.
What Children Need Most?
Love, respect to play, to have fun, to be seen, to be listened to, your presence, a hero, a fostered sense of wonder, lots of hugs, to play the chance to make mistakes, encouragement to try again, room to grow dreams, to be told yes, to be trusted, affection, guidance to play.
