We also offer a kindergarten program, as well as before- and after-school care for children up to 12 years old, helping make mornings easier and afternoons less stressful for busy families.
At Kidsdom Daycare & Montessori, we are proud to provide an inclusive and diverse learning environment. We warmly welcome children of all abilities, including children with Down syndrome, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and Attention-Deficit / Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). We work closely with each family to understand their child’s individual strengths, needs, and developmental goals so we can provide personalized care and support.
As participants in the USDA Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP), we provide nutritious, well-balanced meals and snacks each day at no additional cost. The health and safety of every child in our care are top priorities. We maintain a peanut-free and tree-nut-free facility, and all of our teachers are certified in CPR and First Aid, giving parents peace of mind that their children are in caring and capable hands.
Hi! I’m Myra Mufti, the Director and lead teacher of Kidsdom Daycare & Montessori in Vienna, VA. We are a family-owned early childhood education program that has served families in the Vienna and Reston communities for more than 30 years.
Drawing on her years of experience as a Montessori teacher, my mother set out to create a home-like environment that combines nurturing child care with meaningful learning experiences. Her goal was to give infants, toddlers, and preschoolers a safe and loving place where they could grow academically while being treated like part of the family. We began with a few toddlers and have since grown to include a full infant nursery, preschool, and kindergarten program.
From celebrating first milestones to encouraging new discoveries, we remain passionate about helping every child reach their full potential in a supportive and enriching environment. I look forward to partnering with more families and providing a positive early learning experience where every child feels valued, encouraged, and inspired to thrive. ❤️
At Kidsdom Daycare & Montessori, we combine the personalized attention and comfort of a home daycare with the hands-on, child-centered principles of Montessori education. Our program supports each child’s individual stage of development, from infancy through preschool, while encouraging independence, confidence, and curiosity through meaningful learning experiences.
As a licensed child care program, we value quality education, consistency, and strong relationships with families. Our experienced educators maintain open communication and provide regular updates so that every child receives the care, support, and encouragement they need to flourish.
Each day at Kidsdom Daycare & Montessori includes a thoughtful balance of Montessori learning, creative play, physical activity, meals, rest, and age-appropriate exploration. Activities are adapted to support the developmental needs of infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.
Morning Circle Time: Children greet one another, sing songs, and share stories, helping them strengthen social skills and build a sense of community.
Montessori and Early Learning Activities: Hands-on activities encourage independence, problem-solving, and early academic development. Children are introduced to phonics, numbers, science exploration, and discovery-based learning in fun, age-appropriate ways.
Creative and Imaginative Play: Art, music, storytelling, puppet shows, and imaginative play give children opportunities to express themselves and develop their creativity.
Outdoor and Movement Activities: When the weather permits, children enjoy nature walks, movement games, and other outdoor activities that support coordination and physical development.
Meals and Rest: Children receive nutritious meals through the USDA food program, followed by a quiet rest period that allows them to recharge for the afternoon.
Afternoon Learning and Group Activities: The day continues with group activities, technology-based learning, and lessons that expand children’s understanding of the world around them.
Our program provides infants with a secure space to explore while helping preschoolers build the academic, social, and emotional skills they need for the next stage of their development. Families also receive daily and weekly updates, along with quarterly parent-teacher meetings, so they can stay involved in their child’s experiences, progress, and milestones.
