Hello, my name is Amy, and I am a licensed home daycare provider in Alexandria, Virginia. I have been married for 21 years and have 4 wonderful children (3 boys and 1 girl), ages 3 – 13. I have been working with children for over 10 years. I have always been around children. Since, I was a little girl I liked to baby-sit the neighborhood children.
In the years that I have been a Family Child Care Provider, I have exceeded the standards set by the State as well as the County and granted to hold my license for two years. I am CPR/First Aid and M.A.T certified. I continually attend ongoing training in many areas including child development, safety, and literacy.
As a Family Child Care Provider, my goal is to provide a safe and happy environment for each child that will stimulate the intellectual, social, and emotional growth at their own pace. I offer a loving care that focuses on each child as a unique and wonderful individual and in doing so, building self-esteem and respect for others.

I absolutely adore Amy. She and her wonderful team cared for my daughter from the age of 3 months to 3 years old. Our first visit was a success. Amy put my mind at ease immediately. I knew my child was in the right place the minute I walked in. Very clean and bright. I loved that there was always someone sitting on the floor with them at their level. We were beyond happy here for three years. I would highly recommend her.

Amy is wonderful. We're so happy and consider ourselves lucky to have found her! Our daughter is very happy, content, and loves going to Amy's each morning. Amy and her assistants clearly love what they do. Amy's experience and nurturing even extends to parents -- she's helped us with developmental stages and issues. We highly recommend Amy's child care.

I've known Amy for over 20 years; so my review will be both personal and professional. She is a great individual all around and wonderful with children. There's no question in my mind that she provides the same care and attention to the children in her care as she would to her own children. My son loves it there.

Ms. Amy is like a mom away from home. It was my first time using a day care provider
for a child under the age of 2. I was returning to work, and I wasn't sure if I could find a baby-sitter that would do a great job as me. Then, I found Ms. Amy. We started with Ms. Amy after our other daycare closed... I wish we would have been with her from day one. My daughter absolutely loves going to daycare and you can feel how loving and nurturing the staff is. My only "con" is that the cribs are all very close to each other so nap time tends to be shorter when she is there. I highly recommend Ms. Amy and we feel lucky to have her as a part of our family!

As a first-time parent, Amy and her assistants made it much easier for me to return to work. Amy is very friendly and great at giving daily updates about my daughter's day. She even provides advice from all her knowledge from years of child care and as a mother herself. My daughter has learned a lot there and we are grateful to have found Amy's daycare.

My daughter has been attending Amy's daycare for almost a year now. She was 4 months old when she first enrolled. She loves going to daycare and has developed wonderfully through out her first year. They are very nice people and are very nurturing. The facility is nice and well maintained.

Ms. Amy has been wonderful. Our daughter had been attending her daycare for over a year now and Ms. Amy has taught her so much. Ms. Amy and her staff are reliable which is needed when you have to work crazy hours. Ms. Amy has become more like family to us than any else and our daughter it thriving because of her. Highly recommend her! Finding the right daycare is such an important decision. I am so happy to have found Amy! My daughter loved her and I never worried about her there. She treated her like her own child and was great about keeping me up to date on anything! I wouldn't hesitate to use her again!
