About Me: Welcome to my home-based Montessori school in Chantilly, VA! We offer full-time and part-time child care and preschool for children 2 weeks to 5 years old. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Science and I have a CPR and First-aid certification. I can also administer medication to the children in my care if needed since I am a MAT trained (Medication Administration Training). I am a mother myself, and I have 4 years of child care experience. When I was in high school, I took Child Development classes and after graduating, I started babysitting family and friends’ children. Upon becoming a mother myself, I started caring for more children, and then became a caregiver in another licensed child care program. Child care and teaching are my passion, and after these experiences, I finally decided to open my own daycare! Our Curriculum: We are a Montessori school and I also follow a play-based teaching philosophy as I believe that children learn through play. In addition to infant and toddler activities, I also implemented a full preschool curriculum to ready your little one for school (Pre-K)! Daily activities include reading, puzzles, learning letters, early math (shapes, numbers), as well as many other fun educational activities to develop fine motor skills such as painting, coloring and drawing). My home daycare and preschool offers a great indoor facility that is both educational and fun, but your children will also have access to a wonderful playground for their outdoor time. We offer physical activities to develop gross motor skills in a fun environment such as dance, music, and outdoor playtime. A safe, friendly and family environment is our main priority! Our Daycare: My daycare program is open year-round, between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday. I care for infants as young as 2 weeks, and for toddlers and preschoolers up to 5 years old, including children with special needs. My family daycare serves organic lunch and snacks (included in the tuition) and I run a peanut and tree-nut free environment. We are right off Gum Spring Rd and near to Buffalo Trail Elementary School. My home is conveniently located for your commute to work since my daycare is just a few minutes away from Braddock Rd (route 620) and Lee Jackson Memorial Highway (route 50).
