Growing Steps Child Care, Clarksburg

Welcome to Growing Steps Child Care, my home-based child care and preschool program in Clarksburg, MD! My daycare is very conveniently located off Frederick Rd, just a few minutes away from Washington National Pike (the I-270). I’m a mom of 2, I hold a Bachelors degree and have 10 years of experience in child care and early childhood education. Before opening my own child care and preschool program, I worked at another licensed facility as a lead teacher. I have all necessary certifications and training (e.g. 90 hours child care training, breastfeeding, emergency disaster plan & emergency preparedness, sudden infant death training, etc.), so you can be assured that your child is in good hands! Curriculum: I combined the play-based teaching philosophy and creative curriculum to benefit your child’s learning. This approach allows children to play while learning and develops their confidence and creativity. I offer educational activities such as circle time, reading, writing, learning the alphabet, numbers, arts & crafts, blocks, manipulative activities and much more. I also have both spacious indoor and outdoor play areas with all kinds of age-appropriate toys and supplies. I’m a very organized person; I always create daily activities including meal time, play time and nap time (in addition to the early learning activities listed above). My goal is to provide a hygienic, safe and secure environment to all children in my care!
