Program & Facility:
Rainbow Daycare has been open for 15 years, operating out of a smoke-free home. Open year-round from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm (Monday-Friday), the program has an open door policy and encourages parents to stop by at any time.
Ruzica, the owner and main caregiver, provides home-cooked meals prepared in accordance with the USDA Food Program. She can accommodate special dietary needs and allergies (e.g. peanut-free lunch and snacks) or, if desired by the parents, can serve food brought from home. Ruzica encourages nursing mothers to bring breast milk for their baby.
Rainbow Daycare has a standard vacation and sick policy. If a child is sick with 101 fever or loose bowels, he/she must be picked up and be symptom free for 24 hours before returning to daycare.
Conveniently located a few miles from I-270 and close to a bus stop, the Rainbow Daycare accepts children as young as 3 weeks through 6 years old and offers a variety of part-time care options, including drop-in care. S. Christa Mcauliffe Elementary School is located nearby. The indoor facilities are rather cozy, but there's a large outdoor space that includes a playground.
