About Us
Thanks for your interest in Gunners Lake Village Daycare, our home daycare in Germantown, MD. Our child care facility is located in the Gunners Lake Village neighborhood, right off Wisteria Dr / Waring Station Rd. We're conveniently located near Great Seneca Hwy, Middlebrook Road, and the Washington National Pike (I-270).
I’m the owner and main caregiver of this loving and nurturing home daycare. I’m a licensed child care provider with almost 2 decades of professional experience. I have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and I'm also CPR & First-aid certified, so you can be sure that your child is safe in my care.
I also hold a Maryland Child Care Credential Level 2, a program that recognizes child care providers who increase their qualifications beyond the requirements of state licensing and registration regulations.
Curriculum
We follow the Play-based teaching philosophy, and we have a preschool curriculum that focuses on getting children prepared for school. We pride ourselves on how advanced our little students are (i.e. children that are under two years old know how to count up to 50!).
In addition to English, we can also teach our students the Hindi, Urdu, and Punjabi languages (upon parents’ request). Our daycare has a fenced backyard and we're near a community park/playground where we can spend our outdoor playtime.
Program
Gunners Lake Village Daycare is open year-round from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday. We offer various child care options to accommodate working parents such as full-time and part-time care for infants young as 2 weeks, as well as toddlers and preschoolers up to 5 years old, including children with special needs. Children enrolled in our program are provided with peanut and tree-free snacks, which are already included in the tuition.
We can also offer drop-in care for your occasional child care needs. Before and after school care are also both available for school-age kids, up to 12 years old (we’re just 2 minutes’ drive from S. Christa McAuliffe Elementary School).
Our facility has a sanitizing station with masks, gloves, a thermometer, and bottles of cleaning solutions. We wipe down high chairs and tables after meals and other surfaces to prevent the spread of bacteria and viruses.

This provider is really great with our 12 month old daughter. We feel very safe with our child in her care. The pictures she sends me during the day are nice and I really like that the front door is always locked and is also monitored with a security camera. I would recommend this day care to anyone.

A great childcare provider! My son has been attending this home daycare since he was 6 months old and he is now 14 months old. We have been taking our baby to this provider since he was 3 months old. We love her like family. Her home is clean and neat. She loves my son as if he were her own and he loves her right back! Even after we moved, we kept our baby there because we knew no one else would take care of our baby the way that this provider does.
