Welcome to Sandy Spring Children's Den! We are a licensed, home-based daycare and preschool located in the heart of Laurel, MD. You can find us conveniently just off West St, near Sandy Spring Rd (MD 198) and Gorman Ave, with easy access to Washington Blvd (US-1) and the I-95. Program:

Sandy Spring Children's Den offers child care year-round, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm. I welcome little ones from 8 weeks to 6 years old.

To make things easier for parents, healthy daily snacks are included in the tuition, and lunch is available for a small fee. We also accept Child Care Scholarship (CCS) vouchers to support families in Prince George’s County by making high-quality child care both affordable and accessible.

About Me:

Hi there! I’m the owner and primary care provider here at Sandy Spring Children's Den. Caring for children isn't just my job, it’s been my life’s work. As a mom of four, a Psychology graduate, and a career educator with over 22 years of experience, I understand both the developmental milestones your child needs and the emotional support you need as a parent.

My goal is for my home to feel like your child's "second home", a place where they can be themselves and feel truly safe and loved. I’m committed to being a partner you can count on as your child grows.

Philosophy:

I believe children thrive when they feel like part of a family. At Sandy Spring Children's Den, we use consistent daily routines to help children feel secure, while always leaving plenty of room for joy, play, and "aha!" moments.

As a licensed daycare in Laurel, safety is my top priority. My staff and I are fully CPR, First Aid, and MAT certified, ensuring your little ones are always in capable, caring hands.

Daily Activities:

Every day is an adventure! We start with "Circle Time", a favorite for building language skills through songs and stories. Because I am fluent in Urdu and Hindi, I love incorporating these languages upon request to give children a rich, multicultural experience early on.

Our daily schedule includes:

• Early Academics: Hands-on math (sorting, counting) and early reading.
• Creative Play: Painting, sensory bins, and building puzzles to sharpen fine motor skills.
• Social Growth: We focus on kindness, sharing, and helping kids gain the independence they’ll need for Kindergarten
