Welcome to Mount Air Little Playhouse, my cozy home-based daycare and preschool in Lorton, VA!
About Me
I’m a professional child care provider with CPR & First-aid certifications. I’m a mother of 2 myself. As a parent, I can know how difficult it is to find a trustworthy and safe child care facility for your little one. This was the main reason I opened my own child care program. At my daycare, each child receives plenty of individual of attention since I only take a maximum of 4 children.
Curriculum
I believe that children learn best through play, which is why I follow the Play-based learning approach. I also incorporate elements of the Montessori philosophy to benefit each child’s skills, learning, and development. I have fun, educational activities in store for them such as Arts & Crafts, Music, Story Time, Circle Time, Baking, Water Play, etc.
Program
My family child care and preschool program regular hours are from 6:30 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday. I offer full-time and part-time child care for infants as young as 6 months, as well as toddlers and preschoolers up to 5 years old. I also provide drop-in care for occasional needs. Snacks are already included in the tuition and served to all children in my care.
Location
Mount Air Little Playhouse is located in the Mount Air neighborhood in Lorton, VA. My home is perfectly located right off Telegraph Road (route 611) and close to all commuter routes such as the Fairfax County Parkway (route 286) and the I-95. Wonderful in-home daycare. This provider took exceptionally good care of our daughter, we can't be happier. A very nice, clean, interactive environment, kind and caring teacher. We were very comfortable and entrusting our baby to this provider. By far one of the best home day care in Lorton.

This caregiver took care of my son while his main daycare provider was on vacation. My husband and I agonized about finding a suitable replacement and each took a week of because we couldn't find someone we felt comfortable with. This was until we found this daycare.
