Plaza de la Raza is a non-profit organization providing high-quality early education and comprehensive developmental services to families with children ages 0 – 5 years old and pregnant women.
For over 35 years, our agency has worked together with families to aid and support in the prevention of adverse childhood experiences. We are dedicated to breaking the cycles of inter-generational disparities, ensuring equitable access to imperative tools that promote school readiness, all while empowering parents to advocate for themselves and their children.
We are committed to fulfilling our mission and look forward to the continuous support to children, families, and the communities served for many years to come.
Education
We provide children with a variety of developmentally appropriate learning experiences to promote their growth and development. Our agency supports children's school readiness through individualized learning experiences that include language and literacy development, cognitive development, science, math, social-emotional and physical skills development.
Our educators collaborate with families to develop individualized plans and activities based on children’s strengths, needs, and interests. Parents are an integral part of our program. We provide opportunities to families to participate in parent conferences, home visits, and goal setting for their children. Parents are part of screenings and ongoing assessments and are given activities to do at home. Our parents gain so many skills and become advocates for their children.
