Welcome to Port Potomac Playhouse, my home-based daycare and preschool in Woodbridge, VA.
About Us
Hello parents! I’m the owner and lead teacher and hold a Master’s Degree in English Literature. I have 10 years of child care experience, including 5 years owning my own family child care program for 5 years. I also worked as a teacher for the Fairfax County School System for 3 and 4-year-old kids.
I am CPR and first-aid certified, and also have my MAT certification (so when necessary, I can administer medication to your little one.) Last but not least, I’m also a mother of 3 myself so I have plenty of experience with young children! I run our family child care program with my assistant who is also a mother of 2.
My Daycare
My hours are from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday. I provide full-time and part-time care for infants as young as 2 weeks old, and for toddlers and preschoolers up to 5 years old.
At Port Potomac Playhouse, we offer a play-based teaching philosophy and we take pride in offering a safe, loving and nurturing environment for young minds. We not only offer safe and loving child care, but also an age-appropriate early learning program. We focus on social and emotional development as well as cognitive development. We strive to help children build language skills as well fine and gross motor skills.
Our home daycare has completely renovated facilities with a fenced backyard and lots of outdoor space for kids to play outside. For school-aged children, we offer before and after school care up to 12 years old.

Port Potomac Playhouse is located in the Port Potomac neighborhood in Woodbridge, VA. My home is a minute away from Jefferson Davis Hwy (US-1) and within easy access of the I-95, making your commute very convenient! We loved this childcare. Our daughter loved this provider. She learned so much while there. This provider was extremely helpful and worked with us to teach our daughter how to nap on a schedule. Our daughter always came home happy and exhausted from a full day. We highly recommend her!

This a wonderful daycare in where you have full satisfaction for your child. The place is so organized, excellent facilities, curriculum is perfectly match with my expectation and lastly but most importantly, the place is safe and teacher/CEO, is a wonderful friendly experienced professional who will provide you a peace of mind that you are in the right/good hands.

We are very happy to have found this facility and amazing provider, our kids love her! Especially our oldest, who is very shy and doesn't open up to a lot of people. This provider is an amazing caregiver!

We feel so lucky to have found this child care for our son! He has just turned 2 and is at an age when he really benefits from the extra warmth and attention that this provider and her assistant provide. We've been bringing our son to this provider for five months, and when he's at her house, we always know that his needs are being met. My daughter started with this provider at 3 months. She adjusted immediately and always gives this provider a huge smile when we arrive. This provider clearly adores all the children and the feeling is mutual. We would definitely recommend her!

My son Hassan has been attending this place since he was 12months - he is currently 4. We LOVE this provider. She is patient, loving and provides a safe, fun, one on one environment for the children. She keeps the parents informed with pictures of the kids throughout the day and they take home projects they made with her. This is Hassan's home away from home. Our son has been in the care of this provider since January and he loves it. He has big smiles when we drop him off in the morning. T truly cares about him and treats him like her own. We are sad to take him from this environment but are forced to because of our upcoming move. We would recommend her daycare to our friends and family without hesitation.

My two sons have been under this provider's care for almost 8 months and I could not be more thankful or content with the safe, loving, and fun environment she has created.

This provider currently provides care for my two children who are 21 months and 4 months old. She has cared for my oldest son since he was 14 weeks old and my daughter since she was 2 months old. As a new mother I was apprehensive about placing my child in someone's care other than my own, but this provider. quickly quelled my fear.
