RCNS is a cooperative, parent-owned preschool in which parents, teachers and children participate together in an exciting and nurturing first-school experience. Art, music, dance and play fill our classrooms and outdoor spaces with the happy sounds of children learning. Our expert teachers provide tempting and developmentally appropriate opportunities through which each child grows at his or her own pace to a new maturity and sense of self-worth and self-direction. At our wonderful preschool, parents and professional teachers cooperate to help our children develop an interest and joy in learning about themselves, others and the world around them during these wonderful, formative early education years. By sharing our own time and talents, both in the classroom and in the administrative workings of the school, we parents show our children directly that we believe in the importance of their education. The exciting, varied school experience at RCNS is fun and enriching for children and parents together!

RPCNS is committed to providing a high quality early childhood education program through a safe and nurturing environment that promotes a child's physical, social, emotional and cognitive development. Using a combination of free play and structured activities, we encourage and guide our school children through different experiences and new discoveries. The children are given the opportunity to develop a sense of mastery through their own accomplishments. This promotes the building of self-esteem and a strong self-worth. These efforts are supported by the integral involvement of the families in our school community. As a cooperative nursery school, we believe in having families involved in their child's first school experience. This cooperative model allows parents to carry through learning from school to home. The combination of loving parents and supportive teachers provides our children with a positive learning environment.
Dancella's Family Home Day Care
I, Dancella Hillman am licensed by the State of Maryland. I am licensed to care for no more than eight children at any one time. I am inspected regularly to ensure that I meet licensing standards. My household includes only myself. I am required to maintain a current, accurate written record of daily attendance for all of the children. Please assist me in meeting this requirement by verifying your child(s) attendance with your signature weekly on the required Daily Attendance Record. I will post the following items for your review:  License certificate  Fire/tornado/severe weather drill log.  Information that's needed pretending to the care of the children.  Provider updates. Parents will receive a pamphlet “A Parent's Guide to Regulated Child Care” which is a summary of family child care licensing regulations, as part of an enrollment packet. Parents are welcome to visit my child care program at any time during your contracted hours unless daycare is closed that day. Except during expected drop-off and pick-up times, my front door is kept locked for the safety of the children. In the event you arrive and the door is locked, please knock or call ahead and I'll make sure the door is open. No service will be provided on New Year's Day, Memorial Day, July 4, Labor Day, Thanksgiving the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve Day, and Christmas Day. All regular fees will be charged for these holidays. If a holiday falls on a Saturday, we will be closed the previous Friday. If a holiday falls on a Sunday, we will be closed the Monday following.
