With this I plan on implementing age- appropriate lesson plans covering various theme related learning topics daily. I will offer a well-balanced meal plan severed with milk with each meal/snack. I have a room specifically designed for quieter activities such as art and reading and I have a room separately for louder centers an activities such as dramatic play, blocks, computers, etc. I have a large fenced-in play area for at minimum of 1-2 hrs of play per day. I'm a huge believer in children learning through play! If you are interested in a quality in-home childcare were the ratios are smaller, more one-on-one interactions are made, I'd love to hear from you! I am open to scheduling a tour of my facility at any time that's convenient for you.

AsheBridge Children’s Academy

The curriculum at AsheBridge Children’s Academy is diverse and rich in content. We include science, literature, math, literacy, music, art, dance... and so much more into our activities. This helps foster social interactions, independent play, exploration and creativity. Our preschool is committed to a hands-on approach where children are encouraged to use their imaginations as they explore our equipment and materials. Much of the “work” done by children each day is intangible, yet rich in experience and life skills. Classroom schedules are set up out to give children the opportunity to engage in child-directed activities and playing, as well as participate in teacher-lead group activities that build social skills (sharing, listening, sharing thoughts with friends), cooperation and sense of a classroom community. Academically, the preschool program is designed to help children learn basic skills in math (counting, number recognition, patterns, classification skills, etc.), pre-reading (letter and sound recognition, journaling activities, etc.) and science (exploration, observation, nature collecting, hands-on experiments, cooking, etc.) These concepts are presented in all classes in developmentally-appropriate, fun and creative ways. Art is an important tool in teaching all of these concepts by promoting self-expression, self-esteem and respect for others. Our curriculum readies each child for the next steps in life, whether they are graduating from the toddler classroom or heading to kindergarten.
