Laura's Home Daycare doesn't have as much emphasis on "curriculum" as traditional daycare centers, naturally, but the tradeoff is real. In my opinion, for the 0-4 age group, the importance of curriculum pales in comparison to the benefits of a warm, caring, homey environment. It is a great transition from the tightness of being at home with family, to entering the bigger, more structured world of school. My kids are always happy to go to Laura's and are warmly greeted by Laura and the other children. And the weekly mall trips and occasional field trips add a great touch of exploration and adventure.
