My Baby Steps Academy Home Daycare, Annandale

We have had excellent experience at this facility. The provider and her staff is like our second family to our 3 year old and we've really seen him blossom under their care. They have created a loving environment for the children with a great structure and routine, but lots of learning through play. The children learn to become independent while playing thoughtfully and eating healthy and nutritious food respectfully together. They have the best chef on site that prepares delicious and healthy food three times a day. My son loves the food and sometimes we end up taking some food home for the weekend as my son eats very well from their menu. I also love that this school takes out kids twice per day and do most of their activities outdoors. They have a beautiful large fenced yard with slides, swings and toys for the kids to play and hang out. There's never a dull moment and my son always gets excited as soon as we turn on to their street. They also have introduced Spanish to our son in a fun and playful way, it's so great for him to have the opportunity to learn another language at such a young age and have fun doing it! I also really appreciated the provider's honesty and guidance when it came to transitioning him into the daycare. We had moved from a Daycare Center that my son had attended since he was three months old and we knew there will be a transition period and it might not be easy. We were worried but this provider and staff were very supportive and welcoming and eased my son gently through the transition. She sent me lots of updates and photos to show me that separation anxiety only lasted 5 minutes and that he was playing away happily in no time! They support potty training too and help out parents with a schedule set at school with this milestone. She shared tips and what has helped other kids at school. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone who wants a warm, loving, fun, professional and supportive environment for their little one to flourish in.
