About

Karyn's House of Caring is a licensed family child care provider in Camillus, NY. Karyn's House of Caring cares for children as young as 6 weeks through 12 years old. This is a home-based child care that offers a small setting. My goal is to provide a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment that allows your child to thrive and reach his/her personal best. By focusing on the mind and body; emotional and physical health will prevail. I hope to obtain these goals by: • Understanding the capabilities of the child at each stage of their development • Maintaining a safe and nurturing environment • Teaching morals and values • Teaching to care for others and share • Developing friendships outside their classroom and home environment • Promoting independence and teaching self-reliance • Flexibility in the program structure • Modeling pro-social behavior Please send an email for more information.
Disclaimer: the licensing status was checked when this listing was created. We do our best to keep information up-to-date, but cannot guarantee that it is. You should verify the license/permit/registration status before enrolling in any child care program.

Karyn's house of caring is the ideal place you want to send your children!!! My two oldest were there and now my two youngest. And they all love it! It is comforting knowing my children are being loved and taken care of. I pick them up and they are happy, clean, fed, toe nails are sometimes painted(sometimes even in my 2 year old sons because he can't be left out) pigtails are put in and they are always outside playing!! Karyn was a previous EMT and being a nurse, I love the fact that she has knowledge in the medical field and first aid. If your looking for someone that is caring, knowledgable and great with kids, Karyn's house of caring is for you!

Karyns house of caring??? More like Karyns house of horror!!! Where do I start??? My daughter was there for only 5 days, I had paid for a month of care and Karyn who is so "caring" told me that because I signed a contract saying I would give two weeks notice (She was only there for five days-really? two weeks notice? and I would not subject my daughter to one more day with this woman) she is taking $490 dollars for 5 days of having my daughter-when I asked about the 4th week we paid for she said she already spent the money and it would be a bit before she got it back to me!!! You spent $660 when the child was only there for 5 days??? We are hard working people who use our savings for this! We missed help from the state for childcare by $5000. Maybe I should start with the third day my 2 year old daughter was there and the shorts she "peed" through were diarrhea when I took them out of her bag and when I asked Karyn about it she wasn't sure if it was diarrhea. Along with the huge diaper rash-my daughter never ever had one before in her life. Or the 5th day when I texted her a 2:30 and asked how she was doing and found out that for lunch she choked on a cucumber and vomited all over. Glad I checked with her! A phone call with details about my daughter choking and vomiting would be nice. Earlier that morning she had texted me saying my daughter wouldn't stop crying, asked if I had any tips! After that I was done. Especially when her teen daughter yells "shut up" at her brothers, and children I don't even know roam in her yard, one little girl knew my daughters name, picked her up and nearly dropped her on the concrete!! Her front yard is not fenced in and right next to the road. My mother who was accompanying me one day to pick up my daughter saw Karyn go in with my daughter and I and leave her toddler son right out in the front!! She claims to be registered with the states food program, 5 days my daughter was there she had mozzarella sticks, cheeseburgers, chicken nuggets, pizza, corndogs---does not sound very nutritious to me! And beware to those already with their kids there-she was speaking to some lady when I was there the last day and told her she needs her computer for her masters program she is starting-mind you she does have a bachelors from some online school I never heard of---when is she going to be doing that??? While she is watching your children?? There are no age appropriate toys-mostly cars or baby stuff. She never gave my daughter back two books she brought from home-but I want her to keep them for any other poor 2 year old she might acquire. My husband and I are very giving, nice people. I don't want any other family to go through what we have been through. And Karyn-who is so "caring"-please keep all of our money we worked so hard for-if you can live with yourself doing that to people like us, then you need it more than we do.
