Arora Hills Playhouse is a home-based daycare and preschool in Clarksburg, MD. The child care facility is located in the Arora Hills neighborhood, near Hallie Wells Middle School. The daycare is right off Ridge Rd (route 27) and only 5 minutes' drive away from Frederick Rd (route 355).
About Me:
I’m the owner and main caregiver of this nurturing daycare and high-quality early education program. I’m a mother myself with 12 years of experience and an Associate's Degree in Computer Programming as well as an Associate's Degree in Arts. Before opening my own daycare, I worked in a Montessori school.
In addition to my child care credentials, I'm a student of Early Child Care Education. I’m CPR & First-aid certified, as well as MAT trained so I can administer medication to all children in my care. I also hold a Maryland Child Care Credential level III. Please be aware that I do not accept children with allergies.
Program:
My home daycare and preschool is open year-round from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday. I provide full-time care for infants as young as 6 months, as well as toddlers through preschoolers up to 5 years old.
All kids attending my program are served with peanut-free snacks in the morning and afternoon (already included in the tuition). I can also provide lunch with an additional fee. For older kids up to 12 years old, I offer before and after school care (the closest schools to my facility are Snowden Farm Elementary School and Wilson Wims Elementary School).
Philosophy:
My goal is to provide a safe and fun environment where children can learn and grow at their own pace. I believe that learning should be fun and children should be respectful to each other, adults, pets, and property. I’m dedicated to helping my students to enhance their socio-emotional, communication, and problem-solving skills and develop their fine and gross motor skills.
Curriculum:
I use the Montessori Curriculum and follow the Play-based learning approach – allowing my students to learn through play and lots of fun educational activities. My daycare has several learning stations such as practical life, sensorial, manipulative, blocks, puzzles, books, language, and culture. Every child is encouraged to participate in daily activities such as Arts & Crafts, Music, Language, Cooking, Science, Math, Reading, Story Time, Games/Puzzles and much more!
If weather permits, I always take children out twice a day to the community playground near my house. I also have a small garden area that I plan to use for the children. In addition to English, I speak Farsi and Persian and upon your request, I can teach your child these foreign languages.
Safety:
The health and safety of the children under my care are also my top priorities, especially during this pandemic. My COVID procedures include sanitizing countertops and tables, which “never stops”. I clean and disinfect before children arrive, throughout the day, and at 5:30 pm. I also have a professional deep cleaning every Friday.

The caregiver is a very compassionate woman who takes very good care of my daughter and all the other kids. Even the other teachers are well trained and take good care of the kids. This learning center is like 2nd home for my kid and she enjoys going there. The place is kept clean and has right amount of space and equipment for kids to play. The teachers involve kids in good indoor and outdoor fun activities such as playing in sand, water activities(in summer) etc. My kid has gotten smarter and happier day by day. Will strongly recommend this daycare for any mom out there.

My wife and I started taking our 6-month old to this daycare this past September and have had no issues at any point along the way. Our son is now almost 1 and we plan to continue bringing him to the daycare. The caregiver is great at communicating how the baby is doing, whether he has eaten/slept, how he feels, and all the important things. She is a stickler for making sure the kids stay home when they have are running a temperature, and that is definitely reassuring. She has been able to work with us on using cloth diapers and giving him the snacks we prepare. She and her staff are responsive when we have questions or when they see things we need to be made aware of. The baby is never nervous about being dropped off and the facility has plenty of space for all the kids. Price is affordable. It's been one less thing to worry about over the last 6 months.

This family child care is fantastic! The loving care the teachers show the children is wonderful. The facility is always clean and well organized. The communication and daily reports let you know how your child is doing in the fun, development activities for the day. I’m so glad we found this family child care for our little one!

Our baby was enrolled at this daycare since age 5 months old, and was comfortable with her since Day 1. The staff is very loving and provide great care with attention to detail. The caregiver is also very good at accommodating reasonable requests from parents regarding baby's care. Overall we are extremely pleased with her and the facility and would give our highest recommendation to parents considering her daycare.
