Arora Hills Playhouse is a home-based daycare and preschool program in Clarksburg, MD. The child care facility is located in the Arora Hills neighborhood, near Hallie Wells Middle School. The daycare is right off Ridge Rd (route 27) and only 5 minutes' drive away from Frederick Rd (route 355).
I am the owner and lead educator of this nurturing, high-quality early childhood education program. As a mother with over 12 years of hands-on child care experience, I bring both personal commitment and professional expertise to my work. I hold three Associate’s Degrees, in Computer Programming, Arts, and Early Childhood Education, and previously worked at a Montessori school, where I honed my expertise in implementing child-centered, developmentally appropriate learning practices and individualized educational approaches.
In addition to my formal education, I am fully certified in CPR and First Aid, and MAT (Medication Administration Training), allowing me to safely administer medication to children in my care. I also hold the Maryland Child Care Credential Level IV and received the Montgomery County Early Care & Education Excellence Award (2025). Furthermore, my program proudly participates in the Maryland EXCELS program and holds a Level 3 rating.
Our doors at Arora Hills Playhouse are open year-round, Monday through Friday, from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM. We offer full-time and part-time care for infants starting at 6 months of age to toddlers and preschoolers up to 5 years old. For school-aged children up to 12 years old, we offer before- and after-school care, most convenient for those attending Snowden Farm Elementary School and Wilson Wims Elementary School.
Children enrolled in our program receive snacks daily, which are included in the tuition. Lunch is also available for an additional fee. Please note that, unfortunately, we’re not able to accommodate children with food allergies.
My mission is to provide a safe, enriching, and developmentally supportive environment where each child can learn and grow at their own pace. I believe learning should be joyful, meaningful, and rooted in respect, for peers, adults, animals, and personal and shared spaces.
I am dedicated to supporting each child’s growth across all developmental domains, including social-emotional skills, communication, problem-solving abilities, and fine and gross motor development.
At Arora Hills Playhouse, our curriculum is inspired by both the Montessori philosophy and play-based learning, allowing children to explore, experiment, and engage with a variety of hands-on materials. We've created an environment that includes several structured learning stations such as Practical Life, Sensorial, Manipulatives, Building Blocks, Language and Literacy, and Cultural Studies.
Children also participate in daily activities that foster creativity and cognitive development, including:
• Arts & Crafts
• Music and Movement
• Cooking
• Science and Nature
• Math Exploration
• Story Time
• Games & Puzzles
Weather permitting, we take the children outdoors twice a day to the nearby community playground. We also maintain a small garden area that children can explore and help care for. In addition to English, I speak Farsi and Persian, and I am happy to introduce children to these languages upon request.
The health and safety of every child in our care remain my highest priorities. Our COVID-19 prevention protocols include continuous sanitizing and disinfecting of surfaces throughout the day, with thorough cleaning before children arrive and again at closing. Additionally, we have a professional deep cleaning service come every Friday.
