Ms. Janel takes an active interest in our children. They are excited to see her every morning and excited to tell me about their day at pick up time. Our children frequently come home with new crafts and talk the whole car ride home about what they learned that day. Ms. Janel takes the children to the local playground as well. Ms. Janel is kind, professional, and flexible for our schedule. We are very happy to have found Ms. Janel!

I reached out to Janel because she had told me she would have an opening for an infant when I initially contacted her months ago. My son started at her daycare, and was not only forced to abide by her schedule (which doesn't work for him) but came home with a bad diaper rash multiple times. We talked to her about it and thought it would be fine as long as she changed him frequently and gently enough. She tried blaming it on teething, but there is no scientific link between teething and diaper rash. Two seconds on Google confirmed this. Just over one month after starting with her, she informed us she was unable to care for an infant and would be terminating our contract, writing she "can't give him the care he clearly needs" as if something is wrong with HIM. First of all, infants are helpless and require WORK. Don't tell potential patrons you are able to care for their child if you can't, and then give them a week and a half's notice to find another daycare. How utterly irresponsible. What did she think, she could just leave him by himself and not have to pick him up or change him regularly??? What planet does she live on? On top of all this, today was his last day and he came home with not only HORRIBLE diaper irritation - extremely red and sore - but she returned all of his extra food I had packed to feed him every day, and it was way more than it should've been. In other words, I have no idea what this woman was feeding my child but there should NOT have been that much left over. I'm so upset and will NOT recommend this woman to anyone. Especially for infants - she obviously is incapable of taking care of them properly. Back to a costly center we go, but honestly I'd rather pay double than let her near my kid again.
