Mercy Daycare, Alexandria

I had an awful and unprofessional experience with this daycare provider and her daughter, Rouba. The first initial meeting went great and we moved forward with hiring her. We agreed on a start date, pay rate, and set evening hours before my sons first day. After a week and a half of watching him, she demanded more money while I was physically in her home dropping him off. I explained to her that I wasn't late dropping or picking him up, so why are you changing our agreement with zero notice. I called her daughter (The provider doesn't speak great english) and expressed how unprofessional it was, while I was physically dropping my son off, to ask for more money, instead of discussing it in advance. Her daughter "guessed" that her Mom wanted more money because she was watching him "after hours" and she didn't expect it to be extra work. She came up with other excuses that didn't make sense and I felt extremely uncomfortable. I was beyond offended and let her know my son is not a "trial run" to see if you're able to run your daycare late. She apologized and agreed that her Mom didn't handle the situation properly and promised to speak with her. For four days I reached out to her via phone call, voicemails, and text and she never returned any of my messages. If you're looking for reliability, then this provider is not for you. I would not recommend to anyone!

My son has been attending this child care for two months and it has been wonderful! This provider and her daughters are fantastic, kind, and loving caregivers! My son lights up when he sees them in the mornings! They are very patient and loving with the children and everyone seems happy at the end of the day.

A friend of mine told me that she used to leave her children with a great nanny. I then got to know her myself and started leaving my 2 year old daughter with her. I still leave my daughter with her whenever I need to. This provider is an amazing nanny and I highly recommend her.
