Smart Start Montessori School implements the Montessori Method and philosophy of Dr. Maria Montessori. For many years, the Montessori Method has been used as originally intended. It is a method of seeing the children as they really are.Montessori is a method of education based on self-directed activity, hands-on learning and collaborative play. Montessori classrooms encourage children to make creative choices in their learning, while the classroom and teacher offer age-appropriate activities to guide the process.

I cannot stress enough how absolutely amazing this school is! My daughter has attended Smart Start for 2.5 years now and she thrives! She is 5 years old and is learning/mastering things that I didn't learn until 3rd-4th grade and higher. The owners of the school, Mr. & Mrs. Mathis really care about and love each individual student and truly invest in developing student minds, bodies, and emotions. The teachers there are 10/10 the best teachers I have ever seen. They also genuinely care about and love their students. There are constantly planned events/activities scheduled for students and parents that are flawlessly executed. My daughter loves going to school and always comes out all smiles. Smart Start has regular continuing education for their teachers and have even acquired higher education levels for the school since my daughter has been there. They are currently working on going all the way up to graduation (12th grade). As long as she is in school, she will attend Smart Start Montessori School. We have found our permanent home for education and I am beyond happy to trust them with my child for the long haul. If you are looking for a school that is exemplary and will commit to developing/honing your child's life skills, scholarly knowledge, emotional function, and social skills, this is THE place for you. Thank you Smart Start for being who you are and keeping with the true Montessori philosophy.

I can’t praise the team of amazing people at Smart Start Montessori. Our son has been enrolled for just over a year and the academic progress he has made simply blows us away. Besides excelling academically, the life skills he now possesses are incredible. We can’t get him to stop sweeping our floors or washing his own dishes!! Mrs. Mathis and the entire staff made his transition from traditional daycare to Montessori incredibly easy and we are so happy that he will be able to continue his Montessori program in the fall in public school. If you are considering enrolling your child here, we definitely recommend giving them a chance, you won’t regret it! We are life long fans - thank you for everything you have done for not only our family, but all the families you serve!
