Child Care Provider is a year-round home-based daycare in Herndon, VA. Our family child care program is run by Monica Villa who has 23 years of child care experience. We are open from 7:00am until 5:00pm and care for children as young as 3 months through 5 years old. We offer full time care. We provide meals and offer a peanut free environment. Monica Villa has been providing family child care since May 92. Training courses include but not limited to: Infant and toddler development certificate, CDA (Child Development Associate), Learning to read begins at birth, Understanding the family, Early Infant feeding, Sensory awareness and Sensory tables, ABC music and Me, Adaptations: Creating Early Literacy Opportunities, Planning Early Environments and Daily Routines.

My husband and I were referred to Mrs. Villa and over the last 5 years have been exceedingly happy with the care and pre-school education she has provided and continues to provide for now, our two sons since 2010.
Mrs. Villa is an excellent provider having had early childhood training & education and remains current on continuing education in her spare time. She is a dedicated, responsible, caring and creative teacher. Being a mother herself, Mrs. Villa has a very nurturing personality. The environment she provides for the children is warm and loving.
One of the most impressive things about Mrs. Villa’s program is her pre-school curriculum. Since 1992, she has taken and continues to take the time to find out the specific kindergarten curriculum in her county’s public school system and any changes that are made year to year. She makes certain that the concepts and skills she teaches in her pre-school adequately prepare the children at her center for a successful kindergarten year.
Mrs. Villa offers various educational activities, as well as healthy snacks and meals. Her home is always kept clean and child proof. Mrs. Villa is patient and kind while still maintaining discipline and gaining the utmost respect of the children in her care. When conflicts do arise, she always remains calm and helps the children work through their differences, teaching them how to work, play and problem solve together.
When our second son was born, we had no hesitation at all in leaving our infant with Mrs. Villa. We had been able to watch the way she interacted with children of all ages, and knew that our newborn would be in very safe, nurturing hands while we were away.
Both our sons have bonded with Mrs. Villa and we love her very much. She makes my husband and I feel as though we are leaving our sons with family each morning. We truly value and appreciate her hard work in all that is involved with caregiving & teaching little ones. We would recommend Mrs. Villa’s care to anyone without reservation.
