Pixar Children's School, Albany

Our mission is to provide the highest quality Early Childhood Education for the children in our care in a safe, loving, respectful environment so children can freely explore their world. At Pixar Children’s School, we build on relationships, follow the Reggio Emilia approach, and strive to create an environment and curriculum that embraces our Pillars. The story of the school began back in 2009 when Pixar Animation Studios developed a child care program for their employees. In 2018, Aquatic Park School agreed to operate PCS, and began to create the community we are today. Although a majority of our parents are Pixar employees, we also welcome non-Pixar families! We currently have around 70 children and over 20 staff across 6 class groups. Our school is located in the historic Paul Zaentz / Fantasy Records building where many iconic Berkeley musicians have made famous recordings and media. At Pixar Children’s School, our teachers and staff work collaboratively to support and lead our community day in and day out. Each teaching member of our school brings a unique perspective and expression that adds to the fabric of our diverse and multifaceted community. Our teachers are constantly growing and evolving alongside our children, living out the value of lifelong learning.
