Welcome to Sunberry Discovery House in Aldie, VA! We are a licensed, home-based daycare and preschool, located in the peaceful, family-friendly Arcadia Sunberry community. Conveniently situated just off Little River Turnpike (US 50), our child care program provides easy access to James Monroe Highway (US 15) and Braddock Road (SR 705), making daily drop-off and pick-up convenient for families throughout Loudoun County.

Program:

Sunberry Discovery House is open year-round, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm. We offer full-time and part-time child care for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers from 2 months to 5 years old.

Home-cooked breakfast, lunch, and snacks are provided for all children and are included in tuition. To help accommodate children with food allergies, we maintain a peanut-free and tree nut-free child care environment.

About Me:

Hello, parents! 👋 I’m the owner and main caregiver at Sunberry Discovery House, and I bring more than 35 years of experience in child care and early childhood education. As a mother of two, I understand how much trust parents place in the person caring for their child, and I am committed to providing a warm, patient, safe, and home-like environment where each child receives individualized care.

I am CPR and First Aid certified and trained in Medication Administration Training (M.A.T.), allowing me to safely administer medication when needed. In addition to English, I am fluent in Persian, Urdu, and Dari. Upon request, I would be happy to introduce children to these languages and make language learning a fun part of their day.

Above all, I treat every child in my care with the same love, patience, and attention I would want for my own children. My goal is to create a happy and nurturing daycare experience where your little one feels comfortable, cared for, and excited to come each day.

Curriculum:

At Sunberry Discovery House, we believe young children learn best when they are actively engaged, curious, and having fun. Our play-based preschool curriculum combines learning and exploration with hands-on activities designed around each child’s age, developmental stage, and individual interests.

Throughout the day, children participate in a variety of educational and creative activities, including STEM, arts and crafts, painting, puzzles, team-building exercises, and other hands-on experiences. These activities give children opportunities to explore, solve problems, communicate with others, build social skills, develop independence, and discover a love of learning.

We also have a separate, cozy nap room where children can enjoy quiet, uninterrupted rest during their busy day. From active learning and creative play to meals and rest, our daily program is thoughtfully planned to provide a well-rounded experience filled with learning, creativity, play, and plenty of care, helping each child build a strong foundation for the years ahead.
