About

At MVPC Preschool, we follow a theme-based curriculum, which motivates children and unlocks the natural learner in every child. Through this curricular model teachers and children take a holistic approach to learning. Concepts, ideas and lessons are integrated within each theme and are revisited in later themes. As children discover, play and explore, they form patterns and understand the connections in the learning process. Our program is half day (9am to noon) and children must be 30 months old by Oct. 1st to enroll. We have extended day Lunch Bunch for one hour on Monday through Friday. Most days we also offer a changing variety of After School Enrichment Classes that have included Engineering, Art, Science, Cooking, Drama, Zoom around the Room, Spanish, Crafts and Book Buddies. These classes are from 1pm to 2pm. Children attend chapel, say grace before snack time and are encouraged to grow spiritually in their faith-based tradition. To enhance our dynamic curriculum students attend weekly yoga, music and library classes. We have a large fenced and shady playground, equipped with modern playground equipment and lots of wide open space for active and creative play during our students daily recess time. When the weather limits outdoor time we have a large indoor space with soft play equipment for indoor recess. Our 4 Day and Pre-K students participate in the fun and hands on school readiness curriculum, Get Set for School by Handwriting Without Tears. This program is an award winning curriculum that focuses on playful learning to develop coloring, drawing, early math, literacy and handwriting readiness skills. For more information about our curriculum for all classes please see the Parent Handbook.
Note from CareLuLu: Please note this child care program has a License-Exempt status, it is not State Licensed. States have different licensing regulations, but in general, not all child care programs are required to have a license. License-exempt facilities can operate legally without a license, and have typically received permission to do so (this is different from a child care provider who is legally required to have a license but does not have one). License-exempt programs (such as Religiously exempt facilities or Certified preschools) are typically exempt from some of the mandatory State license requirements.
Disclaimer: the licensing status was checked when this listing was created. We do our best to keep information up-to-date, but cannot guarantee that it is. You should verify the license/permit/registration status before enrolling in any child care program.
